  1. The problem is the clean up crew will bulldoze their path through.. As long as you leave channels or openings.. Large hermits and big snails can trample some nice Zoas. But filtration is not a problem.. You can even grow them flat on tiles or on rubble. They grow better when the rocks are touching or flat. I could recommend for ground cover to get a morph like cherry charms, Mohawks, or Sakuras/Fuzzballs that grow quickly.
  2. Don't fear asking for things. it can be advice or cheap/free stuff. its an expensive hobby but the enjoyment is a worthwhile reward
  3. It's pink with pink polyps. Also a smaller one that's purple with white polyps.. i have LPS and softies and the crabs don't pick on anything. I have one that's a pink morph instead of green.. it's my favorite but I would know it's going to a good home.. I have 3 in this 30 but want to go down to 1. i have had a 20L in the past but setting up a 20g cube by Red Sea that's an all in one with skimmer, light, and ato all built in.
  4. I'm about to do the same and restart my tank in a new 20g. My bubble algae crab may need a new home or temporary home because I will have newly cycled dry rocks entering the tank. (No food) if you want to provide shelter. Also a Frag of my pink photosynthetic gorgonian looks like it would fit well in there.
  5. If it started at 7:30 then mine was out for about 11 hours. The tank seemed fine, I just churned the water with a cup mid day.
  6. The power is out all over. From Salem to Vancover, Mt. Hood to the coast. How is everyone faring? They say it will be back up in ~6 hours. I think my tank will live in room temp but I know some other people's tanks are more delicate.
  7. Take them all out or you will have more.. I would scrap the snail at this point. They will sting anything the mucus touches and stall growth
  8. Add some Miami Vice, Oompa Loompas, and Space monsters
  9. Yea, I want some too. I take handouts
  10. Maybe it will pay for the potholes one day.
  11. If it doesn't move and become happy go in and save it quicker than later. Sometimes they can go in a complete shadow and just stop moving. They will need saving but not direct intense light. Keep half shaded and let them lean out into the light
  12. I would love some Kelidascope cloves if available.. Along with other softies or if a gorgonian color I don't have is available? Lots of nice Sps, but that's not the focus for my new tank once it's setup.
  13. Very nice stuff.. It's a Bi-color strain
  14. It swells with the tide.. Currently I'm beneath the waves
  15. I hope you have a leftovers garage sale next month when my new tank will be set up.. ?
  16. I would like one.. Not sure which unless I see them.. But possibly one that is both green and purple.. I think it's a mixed color frogspawn.
  17. My dream was to move here, regardless of the job.. Once you make it here it will be easier to find your path. Come to the NorthWest and you will find your reef. Attend the meetings and you will find friends and starter corals
  18. I would like some but my new tank will not be set up for at least another month. Maybe in the future I can get a frag
  19. I would love e some, but my new tank is not set up yet. Waiting for the move to restock on corals again
  20. It does kill the worms but the phosphate bloom.. You may have algae outbreak in the tank.. Change like all the water several days in a row is my advice.. If you only change half it will bloom Algae soon after
  21. They are called Northern Lights. I had them a while ago and would like a Frag when I set up a new fresh tank
  22. I had a lettuce Nudribranch spawn babies! I've counted 4 at once before Mama
  23. I'm not able to come to the meeting but pick up at cuttlefish on Sunday is my day off
  24. I also have a 20 long and 20 tall not drilled that must leave. I wouldn't turn down a softy frag though.
