  1. Selling any to make room in the new tank? I know you have some nice zoas
  2. It will be nice to see people and pick up some nice corals. Who wants to frag swap? What's on the rack?
  3. That's some great camera work.. next pic of the month. Cuttlefish.. you win
  4. I may have that but it's uncured dry
  5. Share the love and if I win Flashyfins will get it to replace her urchin snack
  6. New livestock. Still looking for unique gorgonians. Now I have 4 morphs and 4 nems
  7. Looks like sponge. Tear it out?
  8. It's usually caused by something stinging them or the do not get enough light so they stand up tall and when they try to close again they get inverted
  9. They are going to overtake the rock. Do NOT rip them out by hand. You will get some measure of palytoxin poisoning. I recommend clipping them off with bone cutters and gloves. Wear eye protection so they do not squirt you and do not get it in your mouth. The slime is toxic to you and your tank. Each zoa/play will be different level of toxicity. I would recommend just cutting off with bone cutters the zoas you want to keep, tossing or trading the whole rock off ***If after fragging coral you start to have trouble breathing or your chest is tight. First calm down, deep breathes, you could be stressing yourself into symptoms. If they do continue consult medical help***
  10. Same type of zoas, same size and growth. They will clash and slowly one will take over and consume the rock. It's a nice effect but if you want to keep a certain kind make a separate frag and keep it apart
  11. One will usually win and overtake the other. But it will happen slowly
  12. In the wild they can be dirt brown or mute green. Then under LED or more blues and even UV it will color up to the colors we see in tanks. Once they have enough light and have been aquacultured they usually retain the same coloration. Some size and shape changes with tentacle length and polyp size can still occur. If you get one part of the colony starting to change colors or pattern then you have a new morph. dont try to morph them by injecting them, blasting with too much light, or putting two types next to each other. I've found that usually results in melting or a temp color change like in Purple Death Palys and Nuclear Green Palys showing two tone
  13. I would have taken it.. very colorful morph with yellow and red I've never seen it before. Except in Kevin's April fools day pic
  14. Bristle star and baby snail.. probably all those things would have been benifitical in the tank but it's better to be safe than sorry. At least it's not flat worms
  15. I like everything about this rock. Especially the pink on the right and the blue with green skirts in the top middle. Some pretty unique ones I can't name on there
  16. Talk to KenH http://www.pnwmas.org/profile/14270-kenh/ he has got some kind of softy we both cannot identify but it looks nice and there is a lot of it. Not to mention the other stuff he has for sale
  17. I suggest ditching the sand or fully vacuum clean it to get rid of the algae.
  18. Get a small computer fan to blow the surface if you are worried about heat. I even wired one into my lights before and hung it just over the water
  19. I think cuttlefish and coral has a golden with red streak morph
  20. I see the lack of Palys there.. yea those look like some real toxic ones there. I've had the tightening in the chest and asthma before. But we both survived and are still in the hobby, just with less polyps
  21. I moved my tank over and it was 2 am. Decided it would be ok to leave the lights off and let them adjust. The tank didn't come with a lid so I didn't think twice. The next morning I saw a crispy critter on the floor and felt so guilty for not putting anything over the top. Now I've built a custom lid, restocked the tank and the new blenny is doing well and staying in the water
