  1. Those pointy black claws would make me guess it's evil. I'll toss it in the sump with the others if you're going to flush it though.
  2. I can cut a piece for you tonight. Big or small?
  3. I've been brainstorming this new project for a long time now. I know that I can't actually set it up until we buy a house and move later this year, but I was getting itchy, so I decided to at least give it a trial run with pieces I have laying around. The only thing I had to buy was a bulkhead, and the 2$ paint mixing tub from ace. I used an oversized bulkhead so I could hide the return line in the overflow pipe. It's working exactly as I hoped it would. I'm super excited for this to come together. The final project will be a ceramic planter bowl I picked up a month ago. I just need to find a 2.25" diamond hole saw to drill the hole for the bulkhead. The bowl is unglazed clay on the inside, so I'm planning to paint it black, then seal it with clear fiberglass resin. Mostly, I need to save my pennies for a chiller.
  4. Gotcha. I thought you were setting up that edge that you took the top off of finally.
  5. I have an old skimmer for a biocube you can play with if you want. It needs a pump, but you're welcome to try it out.
  6. I can give you some armageddons if you're ever up here.
  7. Does anybody have a 1.5" hole saw that will get through a ceramic pot I can borrow? The tide pool is very slowly coming together. I have the pot, I just need to make the hole big enough for my drain/return.
  8. Nobody likes a 1-upper. I can only imagine the 70 gallon tank Kim is looking at now.
  9. Will you sell the corals separately? I'd be interested in the iron man acan and utter chaos.
  10. I'm curious about the stocking too. Most of the predators I'm familiar with get pretty big.
  11. Yep, orange with yellow. I'll have to pass on the zoas for now. I've already blown my aquarium budget for the month.
  12. I'd take some king midas zoas. I have small frags (size of a penny) of Jedi mind tricks, and starburst monti if you're interested in either of those.
  13. I tried a few times without very good results. I dosed my 2gallon tank with enough for 10 gallons. Flatworms were back in a few weeks. Wrasse or scooter blenny proved a much better dominion for me.
  14. Jeremy, I can pick up and hold yours for you. I'll be there on Sunday.
  15. Just go take one off the shelf and bend it in the aisle at home depot. No one will say anything to you. I used their saw to cut mine, then bent it with a pipe bender off the shelf. No one seems to care too much about what you do as long as you aren't causing a ruckus.
  16. Any chance you can hold him til Sunday? I could grab him on the way home from the meeting.
  17. He does look a lot like the teddy bear crab I already have in my sump. Fuzzy with sharp black claws are both bad signs.
  18. I think I've cut all I can for now. Give it a month and it'll be ready for another trim.
  19. I'd take him. He can live in my sump. Where are you located?
  20. Of course. I'll be home Saturday night. Pm me for my number and we'll set up a time.
  21. Luckily, I haven't had any surprise leaks...yet. But, when I switched to bare bottom on my 12g tank, I had a really tough time getting my stacked rocks to stay put. I was late for more than a few dinners because I'd bump into the stand and everything would crumble. Nano tank emergencies aren't quite as scary.
