    Man, I am such a reef geek. I just finished installing a new Bashsea Smart Series sump last night and I’m so excited about it! I went from a poorly modified marginally functional 40 year old aquarium to this purpose built box. Cleaned up my snarled up wiring mess too. Big change is from my external panworld to an internal sicce 5.5 ADV. unbelievably quiet, but there was a reason I gave up on internal pumps many years ago (swollen/cracked magnets) I hope has gone away.     I gave up on all in one controllers. I prefer smaller individual controllers (like ph for my ca reactor and ranco for heater and float switch/relay for ato ). That way any issue or failure is isolated to just that device and the rest of my system chugs along just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Anyone running one of these? If not, how are you keeping nitrate and phosphate in check? My fuge doesn’t appear big enough to do the trick, and high capacity gfo is expensive. I haven’t tried carbon dosing because it scares me a little bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Small fuge and 1 cup high capacity gfo in a reactor. Just checked it this morning and phosphate was at 0.21 and nitrate at 16. Changed out gfo because I’d prefer it to be below 0.1. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
