I was spending time with my dad at a Cowboys game in Texas. He’s 81 so I don’t take out time for granted! Thanks everyone who took the time to plan and make this happen!

Would be fun if someone recorded it and we had a viewing party for a low key November get together 😊

The scientific classifications are tough for me. Part of me doesn't care if someone uses an older classic name, part of me wants to be correct so I don't feel like an idiot. But, all of me thinks it's lame to snidely correct people using older names.

And also all of me is easily confused by the various scientific name progressions when I'm still just trying to learn the basics! 😆

Lol yeah there can be some pretentious people in the world and you’re surely not an idiot.  It really ticks me off when some insecure person belittles a newbie. We were all beginners and we are all still learning. I don’t think I’m smarter than anyone just maybe read and studied something more than someone else.  We were all beginners and we all have our strengths. The science is mine but when it comes to electrical work or plumbing or anything mechanical I’m lost. I like to know the names more so I can get an idea of how they will do in a tank.

I hear you. Identification was my favorite part of the hobby and I was good at it but seems like when I thought I had it down they changed the name again. It does look like a lobophyllia. Does it have large tentacles that come out at night ?

Very nice I love the lps but like you said they can take up a lot of space in the sand bed. How did you end up identifying it ?

I don’t think people realize how much comes out of our pocket to make these events happen I’m sorry I’m going to miss it but I hope we get a lot of people who attend. There’s a lot of work and money that goes into planning these events and we are one of the few clubs who does monthly face to face meetings ! @danlu_gt thanks for giving us a deal on the light . If you haven’t seen the 2.0 in person it’s amazing and the color spectrum is gorgeous. It has the perfect balance and nice tones but not overly blue like some LEDs in my opinion. We have a really great group of reefers in the pacific nw and our club is known nationally for that !

It will be hard to find replacement since there are several version of these diodes and I am sure AI won't give out that information.

Both are in the same channel and run on a different MA than the rest.

I am not sure if the replacement module still available from AI, you have to replace the whole mother board if going to AI

@Emerald525 honestly that would be super helpful if you did still have it!!! - it could be the test board for these new diodes coming in. I’ll need to verify voltage and temp for example to make sure the new diodes aren’t overloading transistors. May even be able to pull off the old ones and see if they have any identifiers under the micron scope.

I may have an AI prime lying around that stopped working for me . Would that be helpful to you? I May have thrown it out but usually I hold on to these things because I don’t want them to go to waste and I know  there are handier people than me who may put it to good use . If I can find it would you be interested in it ?

That’s very kind of you. One of the ladies was my wife Sirena who made all the food. Kate is the wife of @Flash21 and was only going to stay for an hour and ended up just taking the initiative to help.  That’s what I love about this community. I was in charge of the kegs and never tapped a keg and @Bicyclebill put the taps together and hooked them up and also stepped up when I needed to take a break.  Albert was there early and cleaned up the place and continued to ask if I needed help even though I knew he had his hands full inside and Pete helped with take down. We have a wonderful kind giving reefing community !

Welcome to the forum. 😊 I very much enjoyed having a tank in my bedroom but would have gone with an AIO and smaller for ease of maintenance.
