  2. I took my Askoll apart and then damaged the magnet. I was able to fix it once before, but ordered a new impellor unit and bearings. I will need to take the old impellor unit apart to put it back together. What about the ReefFlo? It needs the bearing replaced.
  3. Where can I get my Askoll skimmer pump repaired? How about a ReefFlo pump? Does anyone local know how to make pump fixes? Mark
  4. Thanks for the heads up and your help on this Brad! Some people on the board always seem to go the extra step for others. Mark

  9. Roy, I have a couple unopened bags of CaribSea sugar fine sand to trade. I think they are 40# each. PM me. Mark
  10. The SCWD is a 2 way alternating flow device made by Oceans Motions. I use a couple of Oceans Motions 4 ways on my tank. They are a heavy duty 4 way version. I use mine for alternating the flow in 2 closed loop circuits with the outlets near the bottom of my tank and they work well. The alternative is to use powerheads that are controlled to turn on and off. I also have Seaswirls that sit on the top of the tank and are used as my sump returns, where they fan water from the front toward the back of the tank, maximizing the air exchange at the surface,
  11. Brad, how much is a new membership to Tri-county and how often do they have their long-range rifle range open?

    Budget

My budget is @$250 a month. Even without buying any fish or corals I can't seem to stop from overshooting it. Mark
  13. Kalk or pickling lime will increase calcium and alkalinity in equal parts. If you only want to increase only calcium, you should use calcium chloride.
  14. Very cool. I wonder when they will do Hawaii. I try to get to Hawaii every couple of years, but sadly I will probably never make it to the Great Barrier Reef.
  15. There are very few sps with yellow, so that would make it rare. I don't have any.
  16. What sps color corals do you want the most? I remember Tim telling me that no one wanted green corals when I pointed out the ones he had that I liked. Most people seem to want blue and purple sps. Do you think this is because they are more rare? As someone else pointed out about zoas, corals with names seem to be hot. At least those with names are easier to know what they will look like. What made me think about this is the recent zoas thread and when talking about trades to multiple people, they said they already had a pink milli, though I have 3 different looking millis (shape and color) that I call pink millis. So, what color/kind of sps would you like if you could get it free? Not offering Brad. Mark
  17. I'm interested in the stag if you are willing to trade a large piece. I have a many branch frag of pink milli and a 4" frag of cali torte. I can also make some new frags. I was thinking of asking who would be interested in a frag of ORA purple stylophora. I bought the mother colony from Tim at Westside and it has grown quite a bit. Mark
  18. The stand looks great, a good match for the tank. Did you have it powder coated or did you paint it?
  19. I need an address for scheduled pick up Saturday. PM not answered. Mark
  20. I have a Beckett skimmer to sell, but it is a large one. ETSS 1400 cheap, PM me.
  21. How about some details, like dimensions.
  22. I just got my bio pellet reactor going today. My pellet maker reccomends 50 - 250 ml of pellets per 100 gallons of system water, so I started with 250 ml. It doesn't look like much in a big reactor and doesn't seem to be flowing evenly. Brad, did you add any bacteria to the reactor to jump start it? BRS talks about waiting 4-8 weeks for results. Mark
