    any clue?

well I have a camel shrimp and its hump is more pointed than this one, and he is brighter red and white than my peppermint.though my peppermint has a hump as well. I hope its not a camel because camel are known to eats mushrooms and polyps. Just not reef friendly

    clown eggs

Oh they are doing great. Added a bigger power head to my spnge filter last night. I took the black backing off too. They are hiding in the pcv pipe elbo and some like to hid by the black filter. I have them on flakes only now. they are getting so big. Not so much long but wide.... Im feeding about twice a day now, some times three times. they seem to be ok with that, and I dont have to clean the tank as much. Only once a week now. And only on flakes now. I have snails in the tank and I put a few more rocks and some daisy cloves in the tank as well. They are so cute I can just watch them forever. My dad is thinking of setting up a small tank in his living room for shadow my favorite. He still is the one that seems to follow me around the tank and isn't afraid to come to my hand when I put it into the tank. Though I know he might be fearless now and so cute, but when he gets big he'll be the attacker, protector of all that is anemones. I think I'll miss them when they are gone. But then I can start again.
  12. I have two tiger pistol shrimps and two gobies, to clean the bottom. And a clown or two. I like true perculas. and an anemone. also Since you have a sump once you have it established id recomend a mandrin dragnet. real pretty, but they really only eat live copepods. Oh and get a small angel. I like the pigmy angels the best. i have a midnight angel in one tank and a alatic pygmy angel in the other. Small angels and They dont seem to be polyp pickers

    clown eggs

So my tomato clowns have been laying eggs every 14 days about now and I cant hatch them because of limited space. however if any one wants to try hatching them they are more than welcome to some eggs.
  14. Tank is set up now. lucky for me the stand was ok and insurance covered the floor in the house. now the tank is super clean. I suppose after having a tank set up for 20 years these things do happen
  15. The tank is set up and running. Lucky me we saves the stand... I guess after you have a tank for 20 years these things happen. oh well. the tank has nice clean everything now and fresh clean water Im just glas my insurance covered the floor. so I have new carpet too
  16. ya I think that might have to work.. but I was hoping maybe to get a tank cheap
  17. Need a 55 gallon tank asap. my tank of 15 years just broke last night...
  18. So what I do is half way through my light cycle I turn off my lights for an hour. then I turn them back on. I'd also make sure that my lights dont need to be replaced. feed less if over feeding. also I would make sure that there isn't any light coming from a window if the tank is by a window. also I will only use rodi water. Also U can buy phosphate pads at you local fish store. put some in your filter that helps. also you can get a tank. and maybe a crab or too, and in no time at all your hair algae will be a slight memory
  19. cool video, I didn't know that they laid eggs like that....
  20. So at the last meeting someone mentioned that liquid sunshine has now opened back up with the new owner, and is now somewhere on main street. where is it exactly? I looked and couldn't find it. The person did say that it was hidden and hard to find, and I'd like to go check out his new set up... I looked on line on the white pages but it still had its old address. Anyone know?
  21. Ya I swear fatty my maroon has wage a war with me, and he is winning, and here I was getting ontop of his anemone mishap with my filter and the next day I had another rose bubble tip anemone for him, and he bites me. My husband says that all three of my maroons have a date with the toilet, but it never happens. You know that my tomato clowns that are huge and lay eggs every week it seems are less aggressive when they bite and I can see their teeth. Maroons are satins sponce but I still love all three of them. All my true and false peculas are so passive though, they just move out of my way.. all five of them do, and they each in different tanks with different anemones. and so do my baby tomatos clowns which are now a month and three days old. My sisters false percula are mean though. Maybe it has something to do with my true and false peculas are tank raise where my sisters aren't. and my maroons I got from petco, so you know they arent tank raised. so maybe that tank raised ones that are use to your hand in their tank since day one cleaning it, and you feed them and what not, are nicer in the end...
  22. See me, I buy all my live items in the store, and stuff I might need right away at a store close to home. Like my heater breaks, or I need more filters for my aqua clear. asap thing. Then for those high ticket items I shop around for.. I compare cost of items plus shipping if I am getting it online. if its a couple bucks different I buy at the store. for instants I needed a five gallon bucket of salt. I use to get it at liquid sunshine and now they are no more. Aqua serine doesn't carry the good brand I like. I went on line and I found a web site that carried it for 47 bucks and shipping was $8.99. that was about 56 bucks. The store in town wanted almost seventy for it, and it wasn't even the brand I like. just some crappy store name. so yes I bought on line. But I knew what I liked. and it took three days to get here, and I wasn't in a hurry. Some local stores however have been cool about trying to match prices, or offer other options I didn't even know about. when I was looking for metal halides for my small 20 gallon eric at liquid pulled me to his giant tank, and showed me his t-5's next to metal halides over his tank. I didn't know they existed. he told me how they produced less heat, lasted longer, did the same thing, and the corals seemed to like it more in fact than the metal halide.. He got on the phone to his supplier right there, gave me the actual cost and when they came in, he showed me they worked, and I did buy alot from the store for that reason alone. Often stores have sales on stuff too. Like when I saw a tank set up and I go oowww thats would be cute in that last empty corner in my house. it looks so sleek. I just know that tank isn't broken cause I see it, and I dont have to wait days to set up my new toy, which I'd have todo if I was buying it online, so I buy it at the store. So i have to say, I love helping my local shops, and I'm sure I do keep them in business, but also I do have to be realistic. Do I need it right away, can it be cheaper. whats the hassles? cause I'm not rich and I too have to eat. in todays economee I need to think of my family first, then the local store. Not trying to knock some great stores or store owners. I do make weekely trips to buy invert foods and formula one and what not. The stores around here know my name, and I often have been know to make a sale there or two. In the end I do both, shop online and in the store....
  23. sounds like a pain... though I do try to find male sally light foots and small ones. someone once told me they are suppose to be less aggressive than the females. I guess that is true in most species. I know I can be fairly harsh sometimes, at least a few days a month..
