So my baby tomato clowns are six days old now I'm trying baby brine for the fist time today just a little so we'll see. I've been trying to give them spiralina and they seem to be eating it. Also I've been giving them iodine every day. since they are in a small tank ive been diluting it down to less than a drop. it's suppose to speed up metamophice so we'll see. The tank is at a cool 79 decrees with no ammonia or nitrates yet. ph is low, and p gravity is at 1.019. they are swimming around. keep your fingers crossed. oh ya and for lighting I am using a reading lamp. and I have egg crate for the top of the tank.

got this new birds nest today at liquid, real cheap.. I also bought a ro machine for half price anyway if you live in the area of liquid hit it up before stuff is all gone[ATTACH]7245[/ATTACH]

so I went to liquid sunshine today and bought this birds nest for only ten bucks and my dad got a huge one for only twenty bucks[ATTACH]7244[/ATTACH] Id recemend if you live in the area to go there before they close

So my store I get my ro water is selling his business, and I am getting lots of tax money back. So I was hoping someone would be able to suggest a good RO machine for me to go buy. I do several water changes a month and have about eight tanks ranging from 90 gallons to 2.5 as well is a clown fish tank just for fry.

Pulled the eggs today and put them in a ten gallon tank. They of course were laid on the biggest rock in the tank. I had some problems getting the eggs off the rock so I ended up just pulling the rock corals and all. Im glad i had a compat floresent just sitting around so I could light the corals. I believe right after they hatch the rock is going back to the bigger tank. Im just glad it wasn't on the rock with the anemone on it. Ill try to get a pic, but the air is bubbling the eggs so it may be impossible right now. next time ill take a pic before I move the eggs from my display tank.

Well I got a larger tank. Painted the glass black even though the book does suggest never using paint because it is too hard to get off. I got an amnonia tester in the tank instead of using my normal tester where I have to take water out. I also got foam to go under the tank for better cleaning Also I wanted to try spirilia. the book says that they have found that instead of rotifers that they have found that spirilia has been used. though the percentage of survival is only eighty percentage. I still will feed rotifers however just maybe less

already read it twice, and I have a great memory.

So My tomato clown laid some more eggs. I got the clownfishes book. Read it through. All ready to hatch the next batch

So I got a new clown the other day to put with my existing clown Ive had for years. I had the clown in a quarintine tank for a couple days, then put him in my display tank. my spaz check him out for a couple minutes and shoed him over to the other side of the tank. But my little new clown just wanted to hang out with him. and followed him every where. I then fed the tank, both clowns ate and now after five minutes they are hanging out no problem. Sad news.. when I was gone at work today my apartment heater went on the fritzs. When I got home it was about 100 degrees in there. I tried to cool the babys down but sadly I dont think any made it.. I am so mad... Oh well I guess there is always next time. The parent clowns breed every month it seems...

well im not worries about my other fish they are all rather large fish, just my eel eating the crabs

na we love the urchin, never causes any trouble in the tank.

got two sally light foots today for my big tank. All of a sudden it just went wild in algae... Im just wondering how they will react to my snow flake eel. The eel is starting to get big.. When we did a water change the eel was trying to bite us. But My mom feeds him by hand so maybe he thought it was time to eat. Also yesterday when we did feed the eel he bit a chunk out of dear old moms hand.. So what I am asking is what are the chances that the sally light foots wont be lunch?

So we have a 90 gallon acrylic tank five foot long and six months ago we saw the smalled cutest long spine urchin. About quarter size and we bought it. So it got big fast... no biggy.. So last night we were cleaning the algae out of the trank and the urchin comes over the top of the rock and gets my dads arm. the spines went into his arm in two different places. It took hours to get the spines out and my dad said it burned like hell. we treated it like a BEE STING to nutrelize the venom. My dad says he'll never touch the urchin again... Just shows that dad vs. urchin.. urchin wins every time..

Day four and about to go in day five update.. So my babys are well and happy. I did have to get more rodifers today.. Eric at liquid sunshine hooked me. He even called me when they came in. I believe at the size they are now, soon I'll be able to give them baby brine. My parents came over today and oowwwed and aughhhd... My mom even named the one she is getting. she is already talking about more egg laying and hatching. They have a huge tank, and they owned the two parents.. more update later

Oh these babys are going to family.. every one in my family have reef aquariums thats alot of tanks. they all want one.... Oh and we are now on day three

Oh and if my clown fish breeding works I am going to start breeding all the time. my tomato clowns are always laying eggs. Im thinking about selling them to liquid sunshine, cause eric is always so cool to me. Maybe. What do u think?

Day two of my baby clowns. I am starting to add light to them and they are swimming arround happily... SO CUTE

I had that crab once but he never went after my corals or fish. Never did find out what he is. still there. but like I said I dont have pipe fish that are easy prey.. so maybe not a good reefer crab with pipe fish. or maybe your pipe fish was dead already watch the tank for a day or two if it was me. no use killing something if you dont have to cause crabs are scavengers. But I have issues killing living creatures. I'm so bad i bury all my dead fish and say kind words. even gold fish and my bettas
