  3. I pulled out my Tubbs neon green with purple polyp birdsnest. Came in at 32" x 11" and a whopping 8 lbs. I have broken it down into several sized chunks. You can have any size you want just let me know if you want some. Can either meet me at my house or i can bring some to next club meeting. Thanks guys!
  4. i have had mine in the tank for couple months now and it has not mushed on me. I believe that was an issue with earlier ones, now they seem to be pretty stable. I put mine in a container and put it in my sump just incase
  5. Also if you want to bring nitrates down you can use a denitrator brick. I use the brightwell xport no3 brick seeded with their microbactr7 product. This brought my 25ppm nitrates in roughly 500 gallon system down to 0 in a little over a week.
  6. Thank you for the great writeup you guys! Meeting was a blast and glad to see so many of you that made the drive up. I look forward to next years meeting
  7. Don't forget this saturday is the club meeting at my house. I will also be giving away some cool ORA posters featuring clams, fish and coral! Also don't forget you get in a raffle to take home a frag of acorpora or chalice that we will be using for the frag demonstration! There will be snacks and drinks provided by the host so please come enjoy and have a great time!
  8. Thanks again Jeremy we appreciate all you do behind the scenes!
  9. Ill have a couple of frags of this to swap, show me what you got to trade in acros or cool montis
  10. Ill be doing frag demo with bone clippers and bandsaw. Ill also show what dips i go through after cutting a coral and how i mount corals to frag plugs and then placement back into the system for healing
  11. Like others have said keeping alk steady is the key. It can be a bit tougher with a reactor because you need to adjust the flow rate and bubble rate. I have been testing daily to dial in my reactor once its dialed in, i get about a week of steady numbers then it will go up or down depending on coral consumption. I do recommend calcium reactor for anyone with a tank over 180g that is SPS heavy. Just the money alone that you will save in dosing is worth it. IMO dosing is great for smaller tanks but not cost effective once you get into big tanks with heavy coral load.
  12. Hi all! This is going to be a big meeting i can feel it! I want to say thank you to Premium Aquarium for helping pick out two pieces for the frag demonstration and for the club for purchasing them! I have a tabling acropora to frag and a nice chalice! I will try and make each frag about 1 x 1" so there is enough to go around for everyone. To speed things up ill have about 3/4 of the corals already cut up and ready to go. Then i will do frag demonstrations on what is left. Ill be providing pop, water, and a few appetizers, you all are more then welcome to bring what ever you like to eat.
