If you support the sustainable hawaii fishery

On the upside Fiji retracted their coral export ban and soon we can bring corals in from Fiji again. Woohoo now if we can just get hawaii to cooperate -
I like aquavitro salinity, usually order it in the 55g barrel. If that's not available my fallback is Kent Marine salt

Red banded trochus ones i use to and they have spawned several times in my system. I havent had to buy any snails in while thanks to them. I have a couple that are 4" across now, but thankfully they dont bulldoze anything like turbo snails On a side note i have eaten these in Hong Kong, not too bad either!

Is polishing an old 140 gallon aquarium realistic
stylaster replied to freddyk's topic in General Discussion
First thing to check for on a used acrylic tank is make sure there is no crazin between the bonds. (fine lines that look like mini cracks in the acrylic) if there are those can be a point of failure and imo would not be worth using that tank. As for the polishing point if you use novus that works well and a buffer on a drill will get the job done.
