  1. I haven't been so brave yet. I think over some time off around Christmas I may do the upgrade, that way I can respond quickly if something goes bad.
  2. Hey Kim, I have him under a 250w Halide - about 5" up off the gravel. Hopefully that is enough light for him! Where did you place yours?
  3. Tim always has some of the best stuff at his store, check out this beauty I picked up from him this past week.
  4. My T5's come on at 11:30am - halide on at Noon - halide off at 8:30pm and T5's off at 9:30.
  5. I wanna see some pictures ! welcome home to the best country in the world.
  6. Roy and I have done this on a limited basis with the 'orange tipped clove polyps' I got my polyps from him - grew them out and when his colony died back I got him some of mine. Almost recently lost mine but I think I saved them, had I lost them I certainly would have called Roy!
  7. I'll trade you some of your bristle worms for my gorilla crab I can't catch / spear (using my trusty BBQ skewer). This will be #5 if I get him....
  8. Let me know when you are ready for some softies, I'd gladly donate some.
  9. Are the bristle worms causing problems for you guys? I find them all the time and just let them be. From what I understand they are great scavengers.
  10. Gettanked has the Ca seperate, that is it. Add as much or little as you need.
  11. I have at least 4 frags of nice bright orange cap I'd enjoy trading. Sizes are in the 3" range. Looking for a few nice zoas...
  12. I've been up in the 12-13 dkh range. You will want to slowly bring it lower, but don't worry too much at this point!
  13. poor form for one sponsor to talk in a negative way on the open forums about another sponsor.
  14. I had a custom tank/stand/sump built and I would do it all over again. Love my setup. My next tank will be once again a custom starphire.
  15. run a good filter sock and fill up a reactor with carbon. Works like a charm for me. I have ultra-clear water
  16. Wireless Router There is a good reason comcast moved away from linksys. Netgear just works better. Andy said it well, since Cisco bought linksys the quality has declined. cisco makes great solutions for the data center, but the home focus is poor.
  17. Netgear and win 7 is great for me. SOOOO much better than my linksy. I go thru one about every 9 months and I have very clean power! I run 4 systems here with win 7 (64 bit) and never had an issue. I have the MSDN license from Microsoft so I have tried various flavors of win 7 with no issues.
  18. I'm interested - great car for my daughter. I'll PM ya
  19. I use the kent scraper - the one with the metal edge and it works great. Just don't drop it or you have to buy a new insert. http://www.aquariumguys.com/kentproscraper1.html
  20. Bump. I have a generator and it is a great piece of mind during those power outages. I have ran my tank and freezer a few times and saved things.
  21. Maybe I will have to ditch TapTalk on my iphone and try this Forum Runner!!
  22. We used to have monthly meet and greets at a local Mcmenimans - always a good time.
  23. Last time I used 'bucket salt' my mg skyrocketed. Even though I had mixed and rolled etc, it still settled. I just prefer a smaller bag of salt to mix up to avoid such issues. I have a gettanked shipment on the way and will mix up a 5 galllon bucket of slurry (I only do 5-10g water changes a week).
  24. Hey BOb, when was that picture taken of you for your avatar? ha ha ha ha ha
