I've got a Kessil 360w for sale, used on my tank for about 4 months... In like new condition. $250 Thanks Mike
-
Agree with arson, it's a unhealthy bleached red carpet but will turn into a nice red if given proper care
-
Cute frenchie newbie! The wife and I have two and currently have a foster in our care. My wife volunteers for the French bulldog rescue network. here's our two and one of our fosters we have placed.

Big time reefer suffers dramatic loss of 1350 gallon tank.
madmike replied to Higher Thinking's topic in General Discussion
hopefully he will use james at Envision this time instead of those fools at ATM! -
i'd slowly lower it, it will cost you a lot less to heat to 76 than 82, maybe even nothing dependant upon how much your pumps and lights put out
-
why are you heating to 82? I run most of my tanks in the 76-78 range and they are just fine. IMO running at the higher end of the temps just leads to trouble if you have a problem like a stuck heater!

Thanks for the compliments. No It's pretty easy to adjust the lights Beer. I have ordered my kessil control cables so I'll be hooking them to my apex to play with the intensity and color so I'll see how that goes...

I finally purchased a new tank after selling the 12 footer almost 2 years ago! The wife and I moved into a new home and I have been eyeing a corner for awhile now so I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered a 48"Lx30"Wx20" tall 125 gallon starfire rimless from ocean by design up in Seattle in november. After 5 weeks the tank was ready to pick up but an unfortunate loading incident cracked the bottom and it had to be rebuilt. Fast forward another 6 weeks and I finally got the tank. I've spend the last couple of weeks setting up the stand and got the lighting and winch system up and running this weekend. Tank is cycling now and hope to be able to raid Daniks sps candy shop within a few months Quick specs of the equipment so far OBD 125 gallon starfire rimless Steel powdercoated stand with magnetic cabinetry on two sides RLSS 6 DC skimmer Waveline DC 6000 return Apex unit Ocean Revive Arctic T247 (single in the middle) Kessil A360W (Two) Maxspect 150 gyre for flow

Should I Treat My PBT With Copper? (Need Some Help)
madmike replied to Peng's topic in General Discussion
PBT and tangs like Achilles are just super prone to ich unfortunately. I had an Achilles in my 400 gallon display for several years and ich would come and go on him and he was fat and healthy, sold him when my tank was broken down. If you had had the fish for 6 months and he is fine except for the ich IMO dont worry about it. -
your acrylic skills are looking good! sump looks great
-
I would build a long continuous shim if it were me, having just a few contact points now looks like it will be a problem in the future IMO
-
I just ordered a 48x30x20 rimless Starfire tank, should be here in about 5 weeks. Much smaller than last time ?. Thanks for the offer on the corals! It will be awhile before it's ready and cycled but I'm looking forward to having a tank again
-
i'm baaaaaack....
-
new sump has a couple of holes in it that I dont want so a couple 3/8 or 1/2" pieces 6x6" should work
-
I think I've got one laying in a box, I'll trade you for a couple of acrylic scraps
-
I think your number got cut off, can you post a side pic and dimensions of each chamber? Thanks Mike

Will $400 interest you? -
I don't know what I'd do without you buddy!
-
No your not! And I don't mind as you are someone that actually knows what your talking about as you have had hands on experience with LEDs

They are now making these on a 24" sink but the wholesale is like $340 they say. I thought long and hard about it but I can hang mine super high so it shouldn't be a big deal. They are also making a 99led 36" fixture now too. Thanks for the link. The Guys on RC have gone thru pretty much all of the bins of bridgelux available to try and cover as much of the coral spectrums as possible... They would even prefer a 490 cyan to 520 green but the 520 is the closest available in bridgelux.

I made a quick paint (colors are just a representative) of my layout I forgot to add the violet... but those are the purple lol
-
yes the layout in the grid pattern is the same, the IT2040 just uses three of those (red boxes) as a moonlight
-
brad, maybe that pic of the unit was misleading... that is just to show what the different colors look like. My layout has the reds and just 2 greens spread out. My layout has the key on the bottom so you can see how it might look
-
This is a unit with reds, greens, blues, royal blues and uses a couple of different whites, mainly the neutral to cool. My layout uses a bit more royal blue and some warm whites (look slightly yellow) to neutral whites
