What type of clown goby? Also are you trying to have SPS? If so do not do the clown goby. I am having issues with my SPS right now and think it all has to do with the 2 little POS yellow clown gobys I got. I did not know at the time they were nippers well found out the hard way.

Yeah when it comes to camers I know nothingDOH! But also do not want one that takes a four year degree to operate(laugh) Or one that is priced way to high(need money for SW stuff you know) as my son will probably be using it at times. He loves to take pics of the tanks in the house(rock2)

If so I have never watched them touch the sps yet. They just like to sit in them and watch the other fish swim by. But like I said am just going to run with what I have and see how it works out. Am getting tired of banging my head against a wall trying to figure it out.

Everything said above from Sol is correct on the cold water set up. Steve no longer has the cold water set up but did sell it to a local reefer Randy S. And best of all it is set up at Saltwater Fantaseas right now. There are some amazing creatures in it also. And as for the fish they are real neat to watch and also real expensive. If you do check out the tank I was told that everything except the fish came from the Puget Sound area.

No fish the only ones that bug the corals are acouple of clown gobys that sit in them. Other than that nothing to think of.

Not sure what that is but I take my water to Waves and have it tested for phosphates. They put it in some machine and it reads it not a salifert test as far as I know. Will see what it is this weekend if I swing by there.

Who knowsDOH! Have checked everything and all is good. Dipped the corals and no bugs(clap) Some are polyping a little and others are not so just going to let it go and see what happens. I told Impure am just going to stick with what grows(laugh) Montis are doing great and polyped out all the time they are encrusting over the rocks so I know they are at least happy. Will forgo the few sps I have if I have to but would like to keep everything. Am getting things togehter for another cube tank so hopefully can get this one right and grow everything(whistle)

MH all the way go big or go home(laugh) I liked my T5s and the heat was not even a factor but still love the shimmer of the MH and the growth compared to the T5s. If heat comes into play will get a fan.

Mine opens up whenever I feed the tank or clean the glass. When you feed it do you spot feed it or just throw it in the tank? I know shrimp can be a problem but you have to deal with them. I just feed the tank first then feed the sun corral as they will open up. Try feeding them more and see what happens. As for light mine are under a 250 MH and still open up real nice they are not really shaded either. Wish you well with them they are a pain in the a** coral but are really full of color and a great addition to any tank I think.
