  1. WOW, are those the ones you were looking at online? they are AWESOME! You are really lucky to have those.
  2. I love half stripe black clowns, the variation on the central bar makes them really unique and cute
  3. I prefer tanks with a square side, so if its 21" tall its 21" from front to back, like the 120s that are 48*24*24, and not like 55s that are only 13.5 inches from front to back thats really annoying. Oh and glass, acrylic is WAY too easy to scratch.
  4. On RC there was a thread, I can't remember by who or where exactly, but he had put a wet neck on a DIY skimmer, it ran all the time and only put out a very tiny amount of water, just enough to keep the neck wet. with the sides wet and clear of goo the foam would rise right out, super fast too because the wet sides, even though the water is falling, greatly reduced friction.
  5. I've heard of other restoration projects that have recently worked with the same group of collected corals, not his of course, but it's an interesting point this website has put out there. How much of the coral collected from the wild for "restoration" actually ends up helping the wild reef, and how much is abused and used for profit.
  6. I'm pretty skeptical of them too, they just don't seem to me to have the power of a MH. When they produce the color and growth I've seen under MH, and have yet to hear of in SPS under LEDs, and they are a point source of light, not such a wide broadcast, then I might look into them.
  7. yeah, it's hard enough trying to hide it from all the now blind neighbors
  8. same one you had when I picked up the hydnophora? It was a very nice looking tank
  9. Isn't the wet neck supposed to run constantly, to lube up the tube and keep gunk from forming there at all?
  10. I've heard that too andy, but if they are eatting mine seem pretty happy of just light and whats left over floating from the fish
  11. Hehe, these names just drive me nuts, I know its great to know what a color is and its characteristics, its just so hard to keep em in order though
  12. interesting, they do look more like yours in color, the pic was just a little off with the white ballance, and they are under 10K I don't see a green stripe as defined as yours, but i do see a slightly green tint to the mid part of the skirt, nothing like yours though. The two i have in the tank are deffinently the same color, the full 400watt MH no shading one, and the one shaded by my xenia. but definently not blue kisses, those are too palythoa like and they have that radial dark strip same as the caribbean blues and those just look far too green
  13. Hey I've got a small colony of tubs, I could take one or two off for ya
  14. That looks alot like the white band disease, seen on carribean A. Palmata http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mccarty_and_peters/coral/wbdpage.htm
  15. lol, put em into a paper bag at least. Thats funny though, and they give you a warning for doing nothing bad, that's so crap, why did all the crack heads have to ruin normal people's lives.
  16. I was just flipping around MSN this morning and found a pic of john travolta http://movies.msn.com/movies/gallery.aspx?gallery=14338&photo=786257#photos Playing the mother in hairspray
  17. Try it, it might not kill them, but sure makes them look sickly and spread/grow slower
  18. we used to have some bad black berries growing in the back yard, I used to dump the water in them to keep them at bay, it didn't do much to em, but it did help a bit to slow them down.
  19. BTW, If you'll be at the meeting I can bring you a half kilo
  20. It's also very nice to see them being able to get down there before the sea wall was erected and remove theve corals before they were burried by construction work
  21. I was looking at something entirely different (sea dragons really) and came across this article http://www.seedmagazine.com/news/2007/03/south_korea_opens_power_plant.php
  22. Bi-mart never carries it (I used to work in that department there) try Mrs. Wages online store http://www.mrswages.com/
