WTB/WTT For softball sized pieces of live rock
oldbrownies replied to ChrisQ's topic in Want to Buy / Trade
I have a couple flat pieces in my sump I could part with for frags :-) No pests, no algae. Probably has some stomatellas. -
My toadstool has been dropping so many babies I've just been flushing them.... I'm kind of tired of it sending out younglings to bother everything.

Coming from a well I would be very concerned about the 2ppm, not unsafe for people, but I would recommend an ro if you have one. Your filters will just last longer on a cleaner source. Get the brs upgrade and run another membrane if you are worried about waste water.

Before he couldn't figure it out at all, just hung out in the middle, now that's where he is, and usually hiding inside unless they suspect me of having food. It's really funny to watch him try to face plant each head around bed time, he sees the skunks wiggle and dive in the BTA and doesn't realize how much bigger that is.

you would need a wireless router, this is pretty much just the receiving end to attach to a computer.
-

oh forgot to mention, the front was painstakingly polished, that sucked! but isn't the most scratch free, would be a good holding tank or observation tank, but not the best display

I have a black back acrylic 55 gallon tank, drilled in both upper corners for overflow or spraybars, and the top is cut (very nicely) for water returns and remora skimmer. Any offers? E-mail is best dyoung4_12@hotmail.com

My house smells like lowtide and farts
oldbrownies replied to oldbrownies's topic in General Discussion
so its pretty much all dead, some mushrooms are alive alittle and one clam and some zoanthids, but that doesn't look so great either, anyway, it's all goin away soon and i'm goin back to something a little less spendy (electric bill speaking) -
short message, since I have no other way to say it... I'm an idiot and haven't been able to properly care for my tank this past month (yay for stupid working) anyhow, I came home last night and the tank was a bit unclear, well, this morning my house stinks and everything looks not so good. Moral of this story I'm an idiot that deserves no sympathy for not caring for these creatures the way I should, and never ever ever let yourself or anyone else neglect a tank!
-
Diatomaceous earth! you can sprinkle it around in darker places of the house, it will dry out the little buggers, its great for preventing silverfish and house centipedes, something that people with tanks should keep an eye out for (the humidity attracts them like crazy)
-
It is still around? I need a new tang for one of my tanks
-
I've painted a few rooms with tanks in them, but I made sure I had ALOT of fans and open windows when I painted. Didn't know my fears where valid, Sorry you had to experience that.

Lime is used to give the pickles more crisp longer, its good stuff, and cheap to use as kalkwasser

Thank you T-$$$, it's nice to see someone has given vista a chance. I've looked it over and I think that I'm just going to set up a dual boot system run XP and Vista on it and use XP when ever i have to (which sounds silly because vista can run programs in XP SP2 mode, but oh well) and the system will be pretty much made FOR vista so its not like i'm going to put it on my old dell junk box
-
you know there is a cure for red bugs and flat worms and well everything that could possibly be alive in your tank... It's called a microwave
-
Everytime I see this I just get angrier about the situation. one very obvious and stupid mistake in the whole thing is mixing them with pacific species ruining the chance of them ever being used to repopulate any reef, just stupid.
-
That Ready Boost feature looks mighty tasty though
-
I would be goin with at least Vista Pro so networking isn't so horrible, and you can dual boot XP and Vista on one computer, so I guess I could do that But okay here is the BIG question with Vista... Since they "re-wrote ALL the code for vista" and got rid of all the junk that has been floating around windows since its creation (the reason why most software has compatability issues). so with that being the case it would seem as though any new software coming out will be able to run on vista, and not XP, though ME never made it far and software never came out made for me, just 2000 and XP, but still it might happen, or maybe Vista is the new ME. Maybe I'll just wait a year for Vienna to come out. I hear they expect it in something like 16 months.
-
why can't they just make junk that will work forever. greedy jerks
-
Like the headline says, is anyone using Windows Vista? I'm looking to build a new computer and cant decide if I want to give up my favorite games and wait for something good to play to come out for Vista, or just stick with XP, not knowing when software will stop being compatible with my OS.

intermatic Digital... Remember that fire I had in my house about 3 years ago, it was from an intermatic analog that decided it wanted to catch fire running a 32 watt bulb.... Actually I think I have a digital one I could give ya... I'm so glad you've been helping me clean out my closet!
