  1. Check out Stylester's build, his sump is in the garage, but he doesn't park in it. And he's in Longview.
  2. I first set mine up with so many bubbles per minute and flow as well, but I can't count that fast so now I just open my JG valve 3/4's and it runs into my effluent "cup" with a probe and let the Apex take care of it. No fuss no muss When I think about it I do a test of CA and Alk
  3. Jorge, that first red mark is 20 lbs, you might want to back it down about half , 10lbs Enjoy What Kim is going SPS already?
  4. This was my old 80 gal setup Just some 3/4 emt and a bender and some imagination
  5. My RO DC 5500 died and need a replacement, maybe someone has one and decided not to use it, with fittings
  6. Running a bean animal or herbie or... you would want all 3 drains to drain into one chamber ie the skimmer area, then on to the return area. Between the skimmer and return you can have a fuge and maybe a passive chemical area dependent on the amount of room that you have. Usually the flow is from one side to the other or "U shaped but it gets too complicated when you go from left to right then back right to left. The rule for water is it'll take the path with the least resistance. GL
  7. Here's another one http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEBAO-JECOD-RW4-WIRELESS-WAVEMAKER-AQUARIUM-PUMP-WITH-CONTROLLER-FREE-SHIP-USA-/121584962372?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c4f074b44#ht_2694wt_970 And no garden enthusiast
  8. Usually it's about 1 1/4" fitting, not always - doable
  9. Or pony up for the shell-less brine shrimp eggs, works really great and no shells to mess with
  10. I'd be interested as well and I have some frog and hammer , yellow tips
  11. If you want to attempt this yourself, it's pretty easy : you'll need this http://www.harborfreight.com/diamond-point-rotary-bit-set-20-pc-69653.html and this http://www.harborfreight.com/80-piece-rotary-tool-kit-97626.html for less than $20 bucks well plus tax would probably be $20 bucks. 1. You'll need to lay the tank down with the side up that you want the hole. 2. Have your friend/partner hold the hose or several cups of water and drizzle it onto the cutting area - be careful electicity and water do not mix very well- 3. Mark the hole size to be cut, using a marker but a china marker would be best 4. Grab a seat and chuck in one of the straight bits on the right side (link). Put the dremel on med speed and lay the bit at about a 45 degree angle to the glass. 5. This is where your helper with the water comes into play, just enough water to keep it wet and on the bit. It'll be daunting at first, maybe practice on scrap first, but this is the "ghetto" way with out a glass hole saw. Once you have a hole started just follow the outline, take your time. Took me about 10 mins on my first hole. or you could take it OIAB and see if he has the right size gl
  12. I have the Apex take care of that. I use a 55gal food grade drum to hold the ro/di water and when needed, the power head (1200) will be turned on and pumps top off water thru the kalk reactor and to the sump. I use a redundant float switch and adiy BOB on the Apex
  13. The goof off will work but any way you do it you'll have to buff it out
  14. Oooooh Oooooh Share that LOVE darn late again
  15. I usually bug my buddy in Cali for a dwg via PDF but he's totally busy and I have to wait a week or so for the dwg and I have not used ACAD for sometime and have forgotten, I remember there are some people on the forum use autoCAD I'd thought I would put it here. Need a dwg PM me tia
  16. This is what I have going for a skimmer , 37" of good ole frothyness , using a 10" tube , stands about 37" tall , still breaking in
  17. Here's our DIY calicum reactor, 20" tall and using a 10" tube will hold about 3 1/2 tubs of the ARM coarse media using a mag 5 for a recirc pump. The tank is the garden variety 20lb size with an industrial CO2 regulator that has been rebuilt with new seals and guages, a Parker solenoid and Swedgelok needle valve all controlled by an Apex -industrial grade-
