    free Ipod?

ya I think $50 to open, I think min direct deposit is $25. so your out that until you go withdraw it. I gave it a shot, worse that could happen is pay the $25 early closure fee,, cheap price for Ipod,
  3. I would use 2 darts to get 7400gph rather than one whatever you have. Is it a barracuda or 6000 series?
  4. If this is a closed loop that can put you in a situation with alot of water on your floor, it will also add alot more possibilty of micro bubbles pushing that much water through the sump, unless its huge as stated. Also, Sequence pumps can be throttled back with a ball valve with no adverse effects whats so ever. In fact they will use less energy and may even last longer. WHen you put the pressure on them (you must put it on the output, not imput) the impeller simply spins in place without moving as much water, this means its working less hard because there is actually less resistance, hence less power consumption. Sequence now advertises on there Dart boxes "flow from 400-3600gph". You can also effectivly reduce flow by reducing the pipe size, go down to 1" instead of 1.5" on the output, again, just be sure the output is smaller than the imput or the pump will cavitate. The problem I see is if you feel the pump is way over rated (I dont feel it is) it will be alot more noisy, bigger, and possibly hotter than running a Dart. I am putting 2 darts on my 150gal at home becuase they are so quiet and use little power.

    free Ipod?

OK, I am in NO WAYS affiliated with Key bank, but I got this mailer and opened an account for a free Ipod. https://www.key.com/html/LP-natnano.html?sqkl=index_mc06039chknanopb2_txt In fact my wife is employeed by Washington Mutual, just thought some folks might want free tunes!
  6. Beaver-Nation 1190KEX Have Fun Mike, Im jelous, someday Ill get a weekend off!!
  7. risking everything in your tank on a properly coated $1.40 magnet seems sketchy to me. You get a couple dozen of those in the tank, your bound to get one that fails. it could have devistating effects on your livestock. I worry about leaving $150 magnvore magnets in the tank all the time, let alone something so cheap no one really cares about quality. just my $.02
  8. They always have taken care of me, or anyone else Ive heard about. I bet you will be taken care of.

  14. I have the same type of floor and put a 4x8 under mine with a center brace on concreat. So far no issues.
  15. I spoke with Pat when I was at PFO yesterday, we talked for about an hour or so. Come November there will be new models being released that will be affordable for everyone that can afford current reef lighting. We shall see,,,, If you want more details you can PM me.
  16. Dan sounds like youve made up your mind as to what your doing, but wanted to let you know what I did with our small tank. its a 45gal corner hex, I cut up some tiles into roughly 1" squares, and used these every 4-6 inches on the base of the tank. My theory is if you spill you would be able to use a fan to circulate air under the stand and dry it out. A spill isnt going to hurt, if you can dry it out in a timly manner. I havent moved the tank yet so I dont know how successful my theory is, but ive only spilled a small amount of water one time. At 1" or so per tile, I figure it can dry out even under this because its so small.
  17. well you all got a great deal. $2.50 each ended up being sponsored by Waves. Freight was $112. Worked out to $18.50 each.
  18. Bobs hydofora idea makes me wonder if that would work for aiptasia. Maybe you could just move it around to the locations of the aips and let nature take its course. I think Ill try it today, I have a couple monsters Ive been neglecting.
  19. Im building my new personal tank with a 4 way OM and a wavysea. Im not a fan of Tunze, they are a great product, But I dont like looking at powerheads in the tank. Seios are a great inexpensive alternative, Maxijet mods break (from what Ive heard, no personal experience) Seaswirls break, I had 4, in 3 years I replaced 4 motors, one caught fire and melted and in the end only one was still working. Not a very good return on my investment. I never messed with them, so I know I didnt break them (you cant manually turn them). Ringworms wave box looks cool, although its a bit fast for my liking, it almost makes me anxious, not relaxed. I would also worry about the life of the tank taking a beating like that every day.
  20. I think you can go bigger than a 50,,, think about 3 big huge dudes standing in a row,, that would be what like 900-1200 pounds? You wouldnt really think twice about doing that,, thats about like a 100-125 gal tank. (it would have to be against a support wall) Or a water bed? Plus, the worst that would happen is the people below would get wet, it wouldnt ruin any of your stuff jk
  21. Glad it worked out!!
  22. I wonder if anyone who has bought it and didnt like it would actually say "I dont like it". That would be a big bit of pride to swallow knowing what they paid for it. With that said I wonder how how accurate reports are,,, Im with Travis, wait and see what tanks look like that have them over it.
