SuncrestReef
The red feather star in Jeff's display tank at @CuttleFishandCoral is mesmerizing. I did a little research and came across this video from National Geographic. These things are really cool:
youcallmenny
I've been wondering what that creature was since the party. It seemed like a big feather duster but after seeing some photos it was obvious there was no tube. Thanks for clearing that up!
CrabbyCrabs
That is cool. Wonder how it would react with corals? Fish? Anemone?
Derbird
It is such an interesting and beautiful creature. It's too bad they can't be kept in captivity.

I heard that as well... wonder what the critical missing factor is. Seem to be filter feeders so you would think if you could get the food source correct they would make it. Then again, with the bevy of other inhabitants they showed, perhaps there is some symbiotic organism they are missing in captivity.
SuncrestReef
I wonder if the True Facts guy on YouTube takes requests? I’d love to hear his hilarious commentary on this creature. 😂

Reefer503
I love how they host shrimp and lobsters and how they mimic the colors and patterns of the star hosting them. Amazing!

SuncrestReef
I snapped this photo when the pipefish was hunting next to the feather star: I wish I had my Nikon camera with me, but this iPhone shot wasn’t too bad.
