The main difference is the sell of ammunition and firearms is not allowed as it is illegal to do so on this type of forum. Regardless, it was also discussed that allowing the selling of such items puts the club at risk. Personally I found some of the rules interesting like clearly someone in the past has tried to sell body fluids or unpackaged food on other forums. FYI: I don't believe that gun sales would be illegal here, but it is not what the board wants, and I agree with them. I'm just in support of not making it so easy because unlike a screwdriver they are far more deadly if given to the wrong person. There are new rules about background checks for guns which I think most of us agree are a good thing. Yes we are a small community and most everyone here is honest and reasonable which is why we want to sell here and not on craigslist. I have had some crazy interactions with people on craigslist . However, selling guns on here or trading them for coral makes it far too easy for someone who is possibly a convicted felon gaining access to a dangerous weapon. And yes this can happen, there are many of us on here who remember a former member who ended up in prison because he had attempted to poison his girlfriend and shot her in the head.
