  1. You can keep it simple, 2 big containers and ball valves with bulk heads and barb hose fittings to connect hoses. I just open rodi valve to fill mix water. Only float valve on rodi vat. Drop in heater and powerhead for mixing.
  2. Honestly I didn't test, I saw all the build up of algae and the auto feeder emptied.fish were fat and I had 10 fish in there while I was gone. It's mostly cleared up with a few waterchanges before I started dosing bacterias. I also added a fresh bag of sand so I had some diatoms aswell. All the rock were tank transfers so I'd probably date it to 3yrs running in tanks. The bioload I had in it was just too heavy and my refugium wasn't ready to take it all up just yet. Also no skimmer in this setup, just double refugium w cheato and caulerpa. Also no uv installed just yet. I'll install it when I'm done dosing bacterias.
  3. Yea I'm going to set it to 1x a day. I also removed some fish so I don't need to feed as much.
  4. I appreciate everyone. I'm going to give it some time to settle before I introduce more, I'm also currently dosing bacteria to get it ready. Micro7,Dr tims, fritz to be sure. Yea I think I messed up on the 2x daily feeding and should have kept it at 1x. 🤦‍♂️ this one definitely hurt and put me on the fence.
  5. I suffered a large loss while on vacation. I lost all my sticks and euphyllia. Due to high nitrates and phosphates from auto feeder and pellets. Anyway I'm looking for frogspawn, hammers, torches,Kenya trees, hardy sticks. I do have corals for trade/sale aswell. I'm in Vancouver wa. Pm some pictures and prices . Thanks! 🤙 20230327_143918.mp4

  10. I could use the 40 for a sump. Pm incoming
  11. Epic build! Congratulations on the dream! I'm so jealous. Baby shark! 🤙
  12. @reefrun @obrien.david.jfeb pictures. Sorry not the greatest #5
  13. Yea I've always heard more contact time the more the dna get damaged. Sounds like they just want you to go bigger to get more flow. Hard pass lol uv setups are pricey enough.
  14. Bonus. Paid supporting members will get $30 off total $100 or more.
  15. 36watt jebaoooooo. Paired with a DC 50w jebaooooo lol. Jebao is awesome. Hydros also just dropped flow meters. I'll order it soonish.
  16. Perfect, I plan to run it on 1/2 with union valves also. Good tip. Thx.
  17. I like this, I think I'm going to do this. That way I don't lose flow on main pump. Did you have any difficulty setting ato level with the sump manifold?
  18. Yea I was thinking about that, 2 different return pumps and dump back into return chamber, but isn't that double processing? Hmm.
  19. I'm currently working on my 4x2x2 sps dominant build. The tank is a sca 120. Has 2 drains and 1 return that splits inside the internal overflow box 2(.5). My question is how would I plumb the UV w/o having to drill another hole. It's eurobraced and the overflow box has 3 1in bulkheads 1 Emergency, 1 durso,1 return. I'm thinking a manifold but how would you got about that and just using one oversized pump?. Thanks for the help and pictures are always best.
  20. They already have hang on refugiums that you can probably use as a sump. Basically for a aio you just add a wall inside the tank and add chambers it filters through to the to a return pump.
