  1. When I did mine two years ago, I couldn't find anyone with past skills in tank cabinet making. So I sketched up what I wanted, with specific measurements, and started bringing in cabinet makers. First one, was clueless. Wanted to silicon glue braces to the top of the tank and all kinds of crazy crap. Clearly just couldn't wrap his head around a wrap. (pun intended). Second one understood the concept, and filled in the blanks on how to skin a steel stand - without drilling into it. (I hadn't figured that out). Here's the basic progression
  2. @Brittany - do you still grow huge amounts of this, and planning to come to the Oct club meeting? If not, I'll share some of what you gave me with @islandVib3s
  3. Depending on what you're looking for, I've got some red broad leave algae that @Brittany gave me at the last club meeting.
  4. I think it's the Tigers Blood frag I got from @CuttleFishandCoral last December. I've fought hard for the last year+. Dinos and Aptasia were the two biggies. I'm really liking the changes I've made. Right now, my nutrients are high - and that's the next thing to gently bring them back down.
  5. I'm not ready to frag yet. Give it a while. needs to grow up more
  6. I've let this pile of zoas just grow and grow in my frag tank. They've split into two piles. $40/each pile, your choice. Same species, color difference is just camera weirdness. Pickup only, at my location. Cedar Mill, west side of town, North of 26, off Murray exit. To quote a recent post, "I don’t remember names. I never do" @Manny Tavan Pile 1: Pile 2:
  7. @mapolski I've got a stack of muchrooms I'll sell cheap. And one, pseudo blue. I'm located in Cedar Mill (North of 26, off Murray exit) if you're will to travel here for them. PM me if interested. Type 1, call it what you like. Taken under white lights Single pseudo blue (?), taken under white light as well.
  8. FYI, went to your site and didn't find a Oregon Tort listed. Don't know if it's a glitch or not. The one you sold me Nov'21 is doing great, so i'm good. But @JC7 is likely still looking for a hookup. This is mine today:
  9. Well done! I love random sticks and have realized they change. This is a good one.
  10. *New in the boxes* This is the new v2.0 Carbon Doser. It separates the electronic controls from the mechanical CO2 regulator attached to the bottle. Checkout the ReefBuilders writeup. Tunze 7077.3 CO2 Regulator - (retail of $115+) Tunze 7077.200 Carbon Doser v2.0 - (retail of $315+) Bundle deal of $275 for both. https://reefbuilders.com/2022/03/08/carbon-doser-v2-0-reaches-second-generation-with-tunze-collab/ https://premiumaquatics.com/products/tunze-co2-regulator.html https://premiumaquatics.com/products/tunze-carbondoser.html
  11. I never dump store water into my tank. Float for temp, dump back into bucket, dump some tank water in, repeat a few times, ... go from there.
  12. Congratulations! Thats awesome. Is there a link to what the prize is you can post? Or just paste some extra details.
  13. Turns out, I brought a hard copy of their catalog home with me. Here's the relevant info, should help with some google searches. And last page is MSRP price list.
  14. I should be there. But generally I'm producing to consume myself. I do occasionally trade... PM me.
  15. Amazon sells them, although finding the long ones was hard. It seems they do sales through ebay as well. Try a couple of these searches on both ebay and amazon. Tamsco stainless tongs 24" Aquarium Tongs 24" aquarium tweezer BTW, their website is soo slooow I couldn't even use it. http://www.tamsco.biz
  16. Harvest #21 update: We've been out of town, so this batch Cooked longer than normal Followed the same regime as last time. Grew >14days, had fish sitter add 2nd batch of fertilizer half way through Same result.. Dark good looking Phyto!
  17. I use a variety of tongs/grabbers/etc for when I'm trying to not get my hands wet. But generally, I get my hands in. Picked up my most recent addition at MACNA in early Sept, Titanium Tongs. My stainless steel ones never seem to stay clean/stainless, unless I rinse in fresh water after every use. So I'm going to try these. But this company had a big selection available. Check out the last picture, of the guy holding his latest addition. Long the jaws open remotely. Looked good to pick corals up that may have fallen behind rocks. (My tank needs to grow out more before I can't easily reach the bottom, so I didn't pick them up)
  18. For me, 0.04 is fine … but In my system they dropped from that to zero too fast, without me realizing, and caused complete chaos. (My system). it happened multiple times, with me not realizing why things were going down hill, …. so, you numbers look fine. are you monitoring regularly, are they moving up and down much. Especially, are they dropping down very often? If not, your good.
  19. Harvest #20 done ! Updates; Repurposed my outdoor grow experiment container into indoor Pod Grow container (big jug) Why, because it's going to be easier to feed them. When water turns clear, unscrew cap, dump in more phyto. (there's free space) This is one of the Darkest harvests I've had. Doesn't show as well in the bottles, but was really obvious while still in the jars. @Flash21 - Maybe try this. Couple of things done differently. slightly longer grow cycle, about 14days half way through, added another dose of fertilizer Looks really good! Harvested Restarted
  20. Attended MACNA last weekend. Visited the Biota booth, and noticed a funny colored tang. Booth person called them a Yurple tank, cross of purple and yellow tank. Explained they were only supposed to have one tang at the booth, but because of a shipping issue, they ended up with two. Cool, interesting story, okay... This morning, checked Biota's website. Yurple = $10,000/fish! I was THIS close to TWO of them. Overall, the biota booth had beautiful healthy fish and was an joy to see.
