  1. Thanks. It's possible. We have a house cleaning crew come every couple weeks and they go a little crazy with all-purpose cleaners.
  2. The only other events that have happened over the past couple months are 1) Started stirring up the sandbed every couple weeks - it's shallow. About .5 -1" deep. Its was pretty dirty initially. And 2) mounted about 20 frags and small sps colonies about 4 weeks ago. Used about 1.25 sticks of epoxy. Not running carbon. Do 20% water changes every 2 weeks.
  3. Alk is ~8.5, NO3 is 13, PO4 is .11, Ca is 450, Mg is 1425.
  4. Most of my acropora are not very happy and I don't know why. Some are receding at the base. One is getting burned tips and is not in high par. Others have lost color in the tips. One has browned out in the mid section. ICP isn't showing anything major. The only thing I can think of is ph went too high. How high is too high? Probe calibration checked.
  5. I'm interested in the tank and stand if anyone wants the equipment and/or corals.
  6. That's an awesome light! I would recommend getting the par meter and mapping your tank with this light at different intensity levels ASAP.
  7. I should also mention the Alk was 8.5 four hours after mixing (when I collected the icp sample)
  8. It's in parts per billion. The optimal level (per icpanalysis.com's recommendation is 350 ppb) with the low side at 200 ppb. So this measurement is quite low for Li.
  9. I was considering moving to Fritz RPM and couldn't find anyone posting ICP analysis from a fresh batch - so I did one. I mixed up a 5 gallon batch to ~35ppt at 72 degrees F. using 0 TDS RO water with DI resins changed about 150 gallons ago. Here are the results. TestSW2B00417_Img.pdf
  10. Well done! How did you reseal it? Did you have to remove the front glass? Did you install glass bracing along the inside bottom of the front glass? Just curious what's involved.
  11. I put $80 in the title. I gave these to All Things Aquarium in Wilsonville. Reach out to them. They may still have them and might sell them to you.
  12. I recently came across this concise article that helps explain how corals use different lighting spectrum to feed the different Chlorophylls. It's a little nerdy and that's probably why I like it http://www.blueharbor.co.jp/en/Coral-Color-Management.html tldr; If you stick to only 450nm blues because they give most pop - you're significantly under delivering the energy corals need.
  13. It was cool to see and hear about their control and monitor system.
  14. Anyone want to carpool with me? I am coming from the West Linn area.
  15. Try a different outlet on the eb8
  16. The website looks great. I love all the wysiwyg corals!
  17. Using lye in general. That stuff will melt flesh. Must use appropriate protection on hands, arms, eyes, etc. Any exposed skin is at risk. Hand washing a large barrel with it would likely need a full body suit. Not worth it IMHO.
  18. That's crazy dangerous. Not sure it's worth the risk.
  19. Hi Dave I would love to try these. Put me down for a pack.
  20. I would love have this in my tank. Is it still available?
  21. It's nothing fancy but I haven't found anything else that works better than this scrub brush for cleaning skimmer cups. The foam on the end is key!
  22. I love how you sandwiched it in the feeder mount too! Brilliant!
