  1. Yea, these are great sumps. I bought the ruby 36 a while back and love it. This one has additional features and a great deal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Evaporative cooling works amazingly well on a smaller tank of your size. I don't have AC and my old tank would cool down 2-3 degrees in a half hour with just a small 3.5" computer case fan. I think folks use these to ventilate light hoods as well. I just laid the fan on top of my mesh cover blowing down and hooked it up to the Apex. Just need to make sure it doesn't start fighting your heater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Good to hear! I'll shoot you a Pm and find a time to come meet ya. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Howdy, you have anything left over? Still interested in the FF and green slimer. My tank is ready to go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You too and thanks for showing me your beautiful tank! Kim's tank is busting at the seams with frags. More multi family style development vs my single family:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ohhhhhh, can't wait to play around with it! Back at you with a Pm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That works great! I'm out of town all week. The timing is perfect on this as I just got my new lights set up [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Oh sorry, fell off the wagon. I have an outdated MacBook so the USB one may be a nightmare plus my computer skills have much to be desired. Put me down for the handheld when it frees up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What type of substrate are the mangroves in? Rubble rock, sand, mud? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm sooo close to being able to start adding things to my tank, but heading to MT for a week and need to wait til I get back. I'll hit you up then to see if you have a FF digi colony and maybe a slimer left. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Try Culver Glass in the NW Portland industrial area. I've bought lots of glass for cabinets and table tops there. Prices are reasonable and they have a quick turnaround. They have all the glass you'd want, cut accurately, and will polish edges. They'll give you a quote right over the phone on the spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I second that, I caught a cold over the weekend and had to lay low.....hopefully she'll do it again soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey, I got it to work! "Save the neck for me Clark!" I think I'll give the mobile site a try, never been a fan of Tapatalk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ok, thanks! But most folks use Tapatalk for basic mobile forum use or are there other options? I'll give it a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Oh nice! Those darn hidden computer rules! Hey, also I've uploaded a profile pic in settings but it never appears on my posts. If I click on my profile pic, it prompts me for a photo but says upload failed. I'm sure it's a problem on my end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ha, thanks for intervening but I already (and my wife) admit I have a problem. Isn't that the first step.....well I guess denial is. I never noticed that stage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. For some reason the reply box for posts listed under classifieds says I don't have permission. I'm a member and the members only section lets me reply. I know I shouldn't be spending any more money on this hobby, but if I see something I like, I'd sure like the chance! For example I can't reply to Holly's open house thread ☹️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Sounds like you have just the right techniques. Thanks for sharing! I need to play around and build some small things and decide if I have the dedication and patience to try a tank. We'll see..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for sharing your experiences and intel! Good to have a resource for questions and know we have access to a local supplier. My table saw is pretty dialed in and has outfeed tables set up, but I have access to a large cabinet slider table saw at my old job. They've got a CNC set up too. Does the acrylic come in standard 4x8 sheets? How do you prevent glue/solvent squeeze out in the interior corners where it seems impossible to clean off and polish? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That's great you built your tank. At last months meeting, Roy said he built his display as well. I'd be interested in trying that sometime. I did carpentry and cabinet making full time for 12 years and have all necessary tools and skills just curious about where to get materials and some tips and tricks to gluing. Would you be willing to share info? Do you think you'll be coming to the April meeting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'll have to take you up on that. I'm in the middle of a new tank setup/transfer so need to finish cycling. I'll let you know when I'm ready. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This is a great resource to have for sure! I've always wondered what PAR I'm running at and would like to get an idea. Looks like it'll be a while so might as well put me on the list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That's an absolutely beautiful forest fire. I picked one up a couple of years ago and couldn't maintain the green. Nice score! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Man, I didn't realize this was the mother of all algaes! I know the exact zoa rock it came in on and didn't know what it was and to think I thought it looked cool! Until it started popping up everywhere. It's been in there for a long time and grows pretty slow but does require routine removal. With my tank transfer, I guess I shouldn't be so dam aggressive about treating my corals since it sounds impossible to contain and you only need microscopic remnants. I can't believe the new corals you bought that sat in your display tank for a day already had some hitchhikers, that's crazy! I'll do my best to clean the bases, dip in coral Rx for a routine clean and keep my fingers crossed. I'll definitely scope out a hungry Tang as a backup! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Good to know. I'm sure you just get a real productive one by chance too, like Kim's purple. Do lawnmower blennies live up to their name? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
