  2. Both of my clown fish have been making a click/pop sound. They are hanging in the corner of the tank and are attacking the top of the water. Everytime they pop one of their own bubbles it makes a click sound. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  3. How much for the brs reactor? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Since in trying to clean the tank to get rid of unwanted pests, I hated having my corals in the sand/unglued to the rocks. My friend has almost everything you need to create most anything, so I stopped by his place and asked him to help me build some magnetic frag racks. With spare material he had laying around we created these. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  5. If I only had a quarantine tank big enough for all of my stuff minus the rocks I would definitely do that. Since I am limited in that regard I thought that if I remove pieces at a time and dip I will get the vast majority of the bugs, and then in a week or two do a regular dosing, but the populations should be quite a bit less so I would not have to worry as much about coral/fish death. I alsowant to keep massive amounts of water changes down to just once on the main tank, plus I need to start looking for an active carbon media reactor so that I can have that ready just in case.
  6. Definitely, that is why I am thinking of the individual dosing of the rocks | coral | etc.
  7. Yeah, red planaria. Stupid things won't give up haha. They are not hurting anything, but they pester my zoa and I don't want them to do a die off and kill things.
  8. So, I have read horror stories about using flatworm exit, not because of the product itself, but because of the massive amount of poison that the FW give off when you kill them with it. I have been doing my best to stay ahead of the ever growing problem that I am starting to see in my tank, but with so much rock and porous surface I keep missing all of the little buggers. This got me thinking. I don't have any particular attachment to the rock structure in my tank and all but 1 of my corals are not glued to my rock in any way, so they can be moved/quarantined while I dose the FWE. On top of that, I am ok with removing the rock from my tank and dipping/dosing them in separate containers that I can change the water out of between treatments so that I can keep my DT clear. What do you all think? FWE in a separate container for the rocks so I can kill the majority of the FW with it and not pollute my water, at the same time I can keep my corals away from those rocks. I can then rinse the rocks with clean SW, and then move them back into my tank. Afterwards I can dip my corals again, and use FWE on them during the bayer dip, and move them back into the tank. I know that the FW in my sump are going to still be there, as will any in my overflows, but I then can dose a little bit of FWE a week later to kill any that I was not able to get during the dosing in the buckets. This is a lot more work then just dosing my tank directly, but I think it will mitigate the issues of coral death and fish death that happens when using FWE on a whole tank with a good population of FW.
  9. Beautiful tank Son. Once I get mine balanced I will get some pictures up I might be wrong but it looks like a walt disney

  11. It's actually relatively easy to set up one, it can just be a pain to dial it in. Make sure that the reactor has a good regulator on it because you need to be able to fine adjust the amount of C02 that goes into the reactor. Secondly, if you are using a controller, try to get a reactor that has a probe holder in the lid. This will allow you to control the actual ph inside of the reactor vs. having to wait for your tanks ph to raise, or you can get/build a drip cup for the effluent from the reactor. You can swap out co2 bottles from most beer places, and in Tigard there is AIRGAS that does fills for relatively cheap. I love my calcium reactor, it has saved me so much time and headache trying to dose everything every day.
  12. Randall, you want both Zoa rocks? I am interested in the rainbow monti, and mandarin if Blue doesn't want it I can meet with you Randall if you need me to hold onto the rocks. I can make it by there around 1:00pm, hopefully that is not too late.
  13. Ha, I need to get mine hooked back to the network. What are you having troubles with? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Randall, I will have a look to see if Upscales has anything in stock.
  15. Yeah I'm leaning more towards just replacing the pump because it's a great skimmer it's a little undersized so that's why I was thinking of upgrading Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. I have an approximately 120 total gallons between my DT and sump, and I have been using a curve 5 without any issues. However after coming back from vacation it looks like the pump is now tripping the GFCI circuit and needs replacing. Now I am in a dilemma, should I order a replacement pump, or pick up a larger skimmer? I already have limited space in the sump because I picked up a relatively narrow one, something I am looking at trading out in the next couple of months, so footprint is kind of an issue. Thoughts? Thanks!
  17. Anyone interested in some German blue Digi? I have a large, about 10" total with 5 ish branches that I would be happy to trade for sticks or whatever. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  18. Don't worry, if I can convince the wife that I NEED this then I will bid as well! Been looking for an OE forever
  19. Yeah I had to inject into their bodies with the needle. Haven't done it in forever, but going to do another round when I get back from vacation. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  20. Or make kulk paste and put in syringe and inject into each aptasia. That's what I used to do. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  21. You might also give Jeff a call at cuttlefish and corals to see if he might have anything. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
