  1. Could be a Pylei too. Tough to tell with juvi fairy wrasses. The long pelvic fins would be the tell tale if it was a Pylei. They become more exaggerated as the fish develops, so the difference could still be slight at this stage. Can't really see what they look like in this photo.
  2. I'd say it's a juvenile Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse
  3. When you're on the league homepage, go to the "League" dropdown menu and select "Settings" Don't feel bad about your team, there's several other teams in the same boat, mine included. It's still early enough in the season to make some moves.
  4. I'm actually not against a keeper league at all, I just think we need more info before doing it. If we can get most everyone to return next season, I'd be down to do a keeper league then. Thanks for making the change. Excited for the draft and a fun season. Really looking forward to taking down Brad....
  5. It seems more like something you'd want to not do unless everyone agreed upon it. I'd say just stick with standard draft settings. No one will complain about the standard settings. I don't think people will chime in time to do a majority vote before the draft.
  6. Doing a keeper league with new people in the mix doesn't make any sense. It's an unfair advantage for those who are able to do it. Keeper leagues should only be set up when the same owners come back every season and should be announced prior to the draft of the season before the keepers will go into effect. You also haven't given us any info around the keeper system, which can vary significantly whether it's based on that player's previous draft position or not. I like keeper leagues, but this isn't how you go about it... I am not going to pick a keeper, because I think it's unfair to the others, and I hope no one else does. I know it's only one player, but it's still not something you do when people put some money down to play. Please change this!!!
  7. What's up with the new scoring settings? 2 points extra for a 40 yard TD? I may be the minority here, but I'd prefer the default settings.
  8. Gotta grab those kickers early in this league! I'm excited for another season.
  9. I think it's harder to perform properly than many will lead you to believe and can be more stressful on fish than copper or hypo. I prefer cupramine for ease, and sometimes hypo for more sensitive fish.
  10. That's crazy. Don't hear of that too often. Any ideas as to the cause of the male transitioning back? I assume it's larger than the female. Any other fish being aggressive towards it? How long after the female was added did it start to transition? I wonder if it will transition back at some point. Keep us posted. You've at least done a good job keeping one of the more difficult wrasses alive for quite some time, so cheers to that!
  11. Nice!!! You've got a trio now?! Did the male transition back to a female? Did you buy a second male? So many questions...
  12. Where did you get the water storage tanks? That setup looks awesome and I could definitely use an upgrade in that department.
  13. Looks great! Pretty similar setup to mine. The 300DD has been great so far. Very pleased with the tank. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours. It's definitely a fun tank dimension to aquascape. Looking forward to seeing more photos.
  14. There's no such thing as a cheap 1000g tank. No matter what you do, this setup will run you several thousand dollars minimum. The only option that's relatively cheap is a pond build using a pool. But even then, you've still got a couple grand worth of equipment, rock and sand to get. Maybe by frugal you don't mean cheap. That might just have been my interpretation, because frugal and large tanks don't really go together. Lots of things to consider with a tank this size. Do you have a plan for evaporation? Have you fully considered the weight of this setup? The water alone for a tank this size will be 8,600 lbs. Where in your house will it go? What kind of water change plan do you have for this tank? Sharks produce a lot of waste and that will need to be managed through proper filtration and frequent large water changes. I am not intending to discourage you in the slightest, I am just trying to provide you with some knowledge based on my experience of trying to set up a 1500g pond. I ultimately pulled the plug on my project due to the stress involved in trying to pull it off and maintain a system this large. I did do a bunch of research on large custom tanks, fiberglass tanks, plywood tanks and various pond build methods. In the end I went with using a 10' Intex pool with a pond liner inside for several reasons. I also insulated the whole pool to decrease heat transfer. My plan was to use a large rubbermaid for my sump and have it elevated above the pool and drain back down in. This setup is the easiest and cheapest setup, for what you're trying to do, by a long shot. I still have my setup if you're interested in a ready to go option at a low cost. PM me and I'll be glad to help you.
  15. Love the regal Brad! 8"?! Wow! that thing's a beast. Let us know if it bothers anything. I've been thinking about putting clams in with mine and am worried about nipping.
  16. They're two different types of tangs, so that should help. Neither of which is known to be overly aggressive and if they're socially acclimated and are in a large enough tank, I wouldn't expect any issues. Chevrons are good algae eaters.
