I would get it up asap I would thing the temp swing would be less stressful the leaving it that cold for longer periods of time and slowly raise the temperature

I know it's hard when you're first starting out to justify the price for the good light but your lighting should be the top three most expensive things on your tank. without a good light you can't have a a nice tank. And LEDs are not that bad if you look around the OR t247 are great lights the do the Job and at 150-200 each they just can't be beat as far as bang for the buck.

No those 3500k you really don't want to go lower then 10000k or all your corals are going to look brown...

You ever have one of those days that you hope you show up to work and wish it was on fire!!! Well guess what my wish came true today, a transformer blow at the shop about a hour after I got there and shut down all three bays in the shop so got to go home early So what dose a Reefer do with a early day off well you build the frag tank you have been hoarding for a year lol. It's not done need to glue the pluming together, of course glue I had was all dried up so I will finish it tomorrow.

Most people buy frags cuz there cheaper and there easier to sell. It harder for people to justify large colony prices.

I Change all mine about every 6 months when the Di chages color. It's about 1200g without counting top off so I would say it's a good idea to. You tds maybe still zero but I bet your not get water made as fast and a lot of waste water from the ro.

And by far they have the best Display tanks I've seen in any shop in the nw!!! Both the old and the new Red Sea tank.
