  1. Hey welcome to the club. Just a few questions about your plans for the tank. What are you planning on keeping and how deep down the rabbit hole to you intend to travel =)
  2. I will be adding a UPS on my future build =)

  5. That rocks! I would be all over this if I had the funding to drop $375 right now =)
  6. Most definitely there are some advantage to bare bottoms but I agree that sand looks more natural. My personal opinion is that bare bottom is best for frag tanks and that displays should have sand. I have always wanted to try a bare bottom nano covered in gsp with a bonsai rock stuctures that looks like a tree covered in Zoa's for leaves. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  7. Paratore- I have a large bucket of pond matrix if you wanted to come by and get a scoop to try out I am sure I have enough to spare I am just down the road in Aumsvile let me know.
  8. Pond Matrix works awesome! I use it on my all in one reef in a canister filter and am very happy with it.
  9. Yes this would destroy your drain!!!!!!!
  10. So sad wish I could go =( Do we have to be preent to buy raffle tickets? or can we paypal for tickets?
  11. I love garf. They were the first website I ever found when I had my first "reef tank" live rock gsp and caulupra =)
  12. I really like most varieties of GSP when it is isolated =)
  13. Take it to one of those coin op car washes and do it in one of the stalls they are usually unattended just bring a book and hang out =)
  14. I find my clown likes to host the surface of the water at night . The first time I saw it I came home from a long day of work at 3am and thought my fish was sick and dying. Cause it was laying on its side near the surface of the tank just gently flopping back and forth with the current. Went to fish it out and she briskly swam off. Now when I see it I pay no mind. She also likes to host the sand bed as well. I have lots of things she could host but those are her got spots. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  15. the price appears to have gone up I paid $16.67 now it is at 20 but as with a lot of things on amazon prime the price seems to fluctuate based on stock on hand
  16. http://www.amazon.com/SUNSUN-Submersible-Circulation-Powerhead-800GPH/dp/B00ZSRAR4E?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
  17. Just thought I would share. Picked up 4 of these sunsun power heads they say they are rated for 800gph. Kind of on the large side but they do run silent and move a lot of water. Great for in sump or frag systems where you don't care much for how it looks. Th real kicker was all $16 for a 4 pack with free prime shipping good budget option =) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

    Jebao Gyre

Has any one seen and or used these yet? I have been a huge fan of the Jebao products making reefing affordable for the masses and saw these last night on amazon but had not heard any hype leading up to them or even any one using them. I was thinking about putting one on my 75 this fall when it is all ready to rock! JEBAO/JECOD CP-40 CP-25 CP 40 CP 25 Cross Flow Pump wave maker With Strong Magnetism Wireless Master Pump Control https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G04FP9U/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_COBuxbH1PB8ZQ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  19. Might look at sand filters designed for large swimming pools have the back flow features already built in and you can get some massive pumps for not. A lot of money however would need to plumb it outside as the noise would be loud. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  20. When you do I will send you some frags. those captain Americas came from you way back when =)
  21. Nice meeting you this morning. Always a blast to chat reef with a like minded individual. You rock and thank you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

  23. Funny thing is I just watched this this morning while getting ready for work. My question was. What happens if some of that galvanizing ends up in the salt water? I would think that painting this would be a good Idea just in case maybe plastidip.

    UV Spot light

Thanks for all the input it is much appreciated. I plan to experiment with addition UV light on my Zoanthids in particular and see how the and or if they change maybe have a it pointed at the Zoa garden and then take several frags and place them in the same system but not under the uv and see where it goes just for fun and curiosity and if it costs me less than 30 bucks to mess around with should be fun =)
