If you want to see nice aqua scape go look at the tanks from china.

Always use less rock then the norm. People who stack a rock wall never leave room for the corals to grow. I wish I could remove more rock from my tank.

Me personally I just throw my fish in the tank, if they have ick usually they will die or start to look better. I have probably had ick for the last 2 tanks but not one fish has died so far from it. My theory is if the fish is happy and well feed then most of the Time he won't have an ick outbreak.

Garlic is know to boost the immune system in humans. They also think it boost the immune system with fish. The garlic is not a cure for ick but a way to boost the fsh immune system to help better fight off the infection. Some swear by it some think it dosent work the same why with fish as people.

I don't know if I would advise you to take all your rock out and cook it but in his case with just a few added pieces of base rock wouldn't be an issue.

In all honesty you really don't have to run the mh that long. A lot of people run them for 5-6 hours and have great growth and color. You can also throw some screen mesh over the tank to help block some light.

You can try 2 things. Raise the light higher or lower the time you run the mh.

Honestly I would take it out and soak it in acid for a while and then put It back in your tank. Depending on where you bought the rock from it could take a while to finish leaching out all the po4.

Mike you need find a way to blow that pic up so we can see what inside. Maybe chop It into sections....lol

The m80 ballast will push thy radium to the right spec so you will be getting really good par. The build looks nice so far, looks like you have put some thought into this.

One 250w radium? I think a 400w would be just perfect for that using the lumennarcs. Is this a mixed reef or sps?

A lot of people will agree that tunze on a controller are better then a vortech. Vortechs are Loud and non directional. I love vortech I have own 5 so far but when I had the mp10 I always wanted more flow. If you buy a used mp10 from reef central and it dont work properly they will refund you money back. If you buy a used mp10 and it works for a week and then stops you propably still get you money back. I you purchase using a credit card your even safer as you can deal with the credit company and PayPal. I agree it real nice when ecotech gives you a 1 yr warranty. The parts are not cheap for those.

I think there good pumps just not what people rave about. If your keeping a Sps tank and it's anything over 29g your gonna need 2. I think tunze are a better option IMO. Now If your talking mp40 those are different and will push some serious water. This is just my personal opionion and I'm sure other feel different.

You really don't need an mp10. There cool but not an absolute must. you could always just do some hydro pumps on a controller and have just as good flow. A lot of people overrate them and now it's become a cool trend to have them. I have already owned 3 different mp10 an thought there flow was pretty weak and only good on very small tanks.

No your not screwed, that why we have PayPal. There are better deal on reef central, it's just so much bigger.
