  1. I'm in. I only have a couple things to order, so I could just piggy back on someone else's order.
  2. Much better scape! How do your two yellow tangs get along?
  3. Zebra eels are one of the most reef safe eels out there. I know a couple people that have them in their reefs and have had good success. I'm planning on getting a golden dwarf moray once I get my new tank set up. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  4. I'm going with kraken. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  5. Before I buy this stuff online and off of Reefcentral I thought I'd check to see if anyone has some of this locally. I am looking for: A reef controller that preferably comes with net access, ph probe, temp probe and eight controllable outlets or is cheap enough for me to buy those extras. 90 lbs of Tropic Eden Reeflakes Aragonite TDS meter, in-line or handheld Two 55 gallon drums 10” Catalytic Carbon filter for RO/DI unit Auto top off setup
  6. Funny commercial, never seen it before! It bugs me how they show a flame scallop when they say brackish, that's not brackish (enforcer)
  7. Hah! This kind of validates my fears. At least yours just "tastes" the coral. I don't think I've ever had a fish that didn't eat its own pooh, over the past eight years I've just become desensitized to it. (sick) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  8. Yes, the more CO2 the lower the pH. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  9. Aragonite media is normally run at 6.5-6.7 and should not drop bellow 6.5. If it were to drop bellow 6.5 there is a good chance of the media turning into mud. Now if you are using calcite media this requires a lower pH and could be as low as 6.3. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  10. How has the flame angel been with your coral? I've always wanted one in a reef tank, but have been too nervous to add one. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

  12. I've glued underwater multiple times. Just remember to turn your power heads off before gluing, I speak from personal experience on that one DOH! Ime the "epoxy sandwich" is the best way to glue frags. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  13. Very nice setup, you've put a lot of thought into it and that will pay off in the end! I'm quite the lurker both on here and RC and I've actually been following your build on there. I'm digging the loc-line return and the "custom" mount for your RKE. Keep up the good work (rock2) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  14. Those orange speckled ones are awesome! Too bad I don't have a tank to put them in. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

    HELP

How long have you had it? Check your iodine levels. Iodine is a key component for Xenia health. Also I would move it to a mid to high flow area. When I was growing Xenia I had multiple frags that got away from me when I was pruning it. The AWOL frags that grew and flourished were the ones in the higher flow areas of the tank and the frags that didn't do so well were in the low flow areas. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  16. A Koralia 3 puts out 850 gph and a koralia 4 puts out 1200 gph. If I remember correctly the magnum line doesn't start until 5, so 1-4 are just regular koralias. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

  21. Harold brought up a good point. The standard 75 gallon is 21" tall and you say the stand will be 29" tall. Now that 29" is the external height of the stand, your internal height could be a few inches less than that depending on how the supports are. So now let's say you are down to 24" of internal height; that leaves you just 3" of clearance between the top of the 75 gallon and the inside of your stand. There is no way you could reach into your sump with just 3" of clearance, let alone place and remove equipment. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  22. Looks good! There's nothing quite like a clean new tank. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  23. If they have Brooklynella the only thing I've seen that helps is formalin. Luckily it doesn't sound like they have it and are getting better on their own. If they worsen, I'd dip them in a malachite green and formalin solution, but that is worst case. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
