  1. This gives me hope! I'm not the only single reef nerd. Yay!
  2. We used to catch horseshoe crabs when I was a kid in Texas. We used to use them at "race day." Imagine, a whole bunch of elementary school kids racing horseshoe crabs and armadillos. Are the horseshoe crabs reef safe? Really?
  3. I am Jen. And I never grew up. Thus, I am the Jen child.
  4. Actually, as of this last meeting in June I do have a fungia! Its a beautiful green with orange mouth that I got from Roy. I still want an orange one, but this one has definitely fulfilled the dream.
  5. I dated a guy my freshman year of college that had a big 125g reef tank. I was so fascinated by it, that I often woke up in the middle of the night to go stare at it. I especially liked the little hermits that just seemed to be everywhere. So I started reading about SW tanks, and stumbled across a photo of a bright orange fungia. I decided that someday I would have a tank, and someday I would have hermits and a fungia. It was a goal of mine for almost 5 years, so a year ago when I graduated I was given a 15.5g AIO cube as a present. Its been a downhill slide ever since.

    Zoos!!!

Hey I have a couple of that last frag! They're so pretty! Really neat.
  7. Thanks a bunch guys! I haven't had to feed anything in this tank besides the fish, so this will be new to me. I'll pick up some krill today and see how it goes!
  8. LOL, I love Shih-tzus! They're so ditzy, but they're always so happy about it. I've actually seen one herding sheep. It was incredible!
  9. (drooler)(drooler) Do you think *he'll* fit in my tank? Then I can stare at my reef and eye candy at the same time.
  10. Oops! Posted in the wrong "out of bounds." Can this be moved?
  11. Hey guys, As a few of you probably know, I train dogs professionally here in Philomath. The last few weekends have been extremely productive for my guys! My chi/rat terrier mix completed another title, my chihuahua completed a leg of her title, and my new aussie got on equipment for the first time! Yay for everyone! Although I love my reef, the dogs are my passion. Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
  12. Is that just regular table shrimp? What should I feed my little fungia? So far I haven't fed it anything, but I'd love to!
  13. OK, I would really love to see them puke up a cube of brine shrimp. That'd be awesome.
  14. Woo hoo! That means lots of coral presents right? (whistle) Hehe, Its been a learning experience. Things are a little topsy turvy in the tank right now, but its ok. I decided that I was going to play with the scaping, and I messed it up. So now I'm just trying to put it all back! LOL
  15. To each their own for sure. I just found it interesting. :-)
  16. http://salem.craigslist.org/pet/1214061059.html CL Ad: "Im looking for a specific anemone called Aiptasia , most people think it is a nuisance , but i think they are cool. i do not grow any corals so i would love to have these , if you have a bunch of them taking over your tank , let me know. "
  17. I just bought one of these bulbs and will be putting it in to fire up for the first time in a few days. I'll keep you guys posted. I'm a long way away, but anyone interested in looking at the real color is welcome to come and check it out.
  18. My car isn't spiffy and fast, but it the first car that I've ever bought and I love it very much. Had it since February, bought it with only 153 miles on it (most of which I put on in the 3 days I took to decide that I wanted it). '08 Hyundai Tucson *Not my photo, but my camera is dead. LOL
  19. Those tail spot blennies are super cute, but TINY! No idea of temperment though. sorry!
  20. Alrighty, time to resurrect this tank thread! LOL. Seeing as its been over 6 months, things have grown a little. Here are a few photos, with a few more to come as I pull them off of my phone/camera. Sorry for the quality (and the water spots)!
