  1. What equipment were you interested in trading for?
  2. Hey Guys, my roomie and I decided to just share the big tank to keep the costs of running them down, so we're selling the small cube and equipment. Here's the updated list.... 1. 150w sunpod with 20k ushio bulb and LEDs for night viewing. Bulb is about 8 months old. Asking only what I paid $150 when I bought it used. **When transporting this light to show it to someone yesterday, one of the legs broke. It looks easily fixable with some super glue. I can do this before I bring it to anyone, or you can do it if you prefer. 2. brand new in the box 150w 20k radium double ended bulb. Paid 90, asking $70 **If you buy the sunpod and the radium bulb, I will let both go for $200 3. 7 gallon acrylic sump. $40 4. Overflow box with aqua-lifter $20 ** If you buy the sump and overflow/aqua lifter I'll let both go for $50 I am interested in trading for some of these things. My particular interests are zoas, ricordea, and fungia. Easier SPS may be considered, but I don't have very good luck with them. I am also looking for an ATO that can be used on a 40g all in one tank as well as 150w 14k or higher single ended bulbs. Cash is always good too. Photos can be taken if requested.
  3. I wonder how many times your teacher got beat up as a kid.....
  4. wooooo, I need to come by! There are lots of pretty pretty corals in there! Looking good!
  5. Here are a couple photos from my last trip down there. As you may find out, weather in Frisco can be unpredictable.....sometimes its REALLY foggy. Unfortunately, the day that I went this was the case. The photo on the ipod is what that view is supposed to be life from Ft. Point. LOL
  6. I've been there and its AMAZING!! Unfortunately I was with my family, so I wasn't able to stop and stare quite as long as I would have liked to. But it was truely beautiful. The rest of the academy of science is awesome as well. If you're planning to go to the Golden Gate bridge, make sure to view it from Fort Point. You can find it by following the water front with the ocean on your right. Much less crowded than the regular viewing area, and a really neat angle on the bridge. Have fun!
  7. alrighty, so ATO is going to be essential, WOW I lose alot of water to evaporation. Way more than in my open top cube. Perhaps its because these lights are alot hotter..... Added a coral beauty to the tank, his name is Paulie Bleeker. Shy little bugger, but getting better. He has started eating some mysis, but I think I'll try some brine and see if he gets a little more excited about coming out. And......the diatoms have begun.....boo!
  8. if a goldfish can be taught to fetch, I imagine a clownfish could too.....
  9. It means that someone is just adding a comment to the end of your posting so that it remains at the top of the list, and viewable on the home page. Allows more people to see if because it doesn't get lost in the masses.
  10. This is a rough economic climate to be a small business owner. Thanks for reviving this thread. I hope that everyone considers making their next purchases for their tank with one of the local guys.
  11. Its a frag rack. Hanging it like that helps deter hermits and some snails from messing with the frags and knocking them over.
  12. ricordea aren't anenomes are they? I thought they were related to mushrooms? Wow, shows what I know! Where did you get your nass snails?
  13. Just added a new coral beauty angel and named him "Paulie Bleeker." yay!
