Definitely not a true Perc, it's just a mis-bared false perc aka ocellaris... As for the tangs, you can go into most any LFS and pick up a yellow tang for $35-$39 unless it's XL sized and the powder blue's that size usually range anywhere from $39-$49. The way I see it is you should price them as to how bad you want to get rid of them... If you want to get rid of them quickly cause they're causing a problem then the price should reflect that. For those of you who have had size issues with LA, I've had completely the opposite with all my shipments and you're guaranteed to get a solid fish that eats and has already gone through a good QT process. Anyways... They're your fish so you can price them however you want. I have a soft spot for powder blue's, it's just that they're either really aggressive or become that way once they get settled in.

Back in the day they used to have 33 longs in the sale... I haven't seen a 33 long at a petco since.

Not trying to rain on your parade but 3/8" rimless will equal a wet floor at 24" tall. You'll need a eurobrace at that height, if the glass was .50" you could pull off rimless.

OR http://www.miraclesaquariums.com/ <~~~~ Canadian company so shipping will be kinda spendy. You can always go to the extreme and look into Elos tanks. If money isn't an issue these guys will build you a custom tank as well. A friend of mine in CA. has one and is very happy with it. I thought the build quality was quite nice.

The Sea Star tanks were really nice, I think they met their demise when the shipping prices from Canada to the US became more than the costs of the tanks themselves and there became more high end tank builders in the US competing for their business. I know there were a lot of people that got screwed by AO, they paid for tanks and they waited and were strung along then all of a sudden the phones were disconnected and the only thing left of the company was the sign on the building they used to be in. I've talked with Charlie from the Fish Tank Factory a while back, he primarily uses Lee Mar from CA as I mentioned earlier for Glass tanks. Lee Mar makes nice tanks from what I've seen and their prices are pretty fair. Glass has it's advantages but with having Envision based locally you don't have to deal with shipping and you can get bullet proof tank (literally) with all the bells and whistles fabricated into your tank (dry boxes for Vortechs etc.) for the same price or less. People complain so much about acrylic and how it scratches but as long as your remotely careful I've never had an issue with any of my Envision tanks. Plus with acrylic if there is an accident it can be fixed, once you screw up glass it's done unless you want to tear the tank apart and add a new panel, which is far from cost effective!

Looking pretty good, I've been doing my homework on building a new LED fixture for the new tank I'm building. Only problem I see is that you should of been using a thermal epoxy to attach the stars to help with heat transfer. What are your temps like on the heat sink themselves? if getting proper airflow they should be about 100* They should not be so hot that you can't hold your hand on them for an extended period of time. The cooler the LED's are kept the better the performance. I'm planning on building mine with and Arduino unit to control the dusk to dawn functions.

The only reason I remember Sea Star is because that's who you said built your 90 Scott =)
