  1. Fine. You can live in idleness and continue to believe what you may. Predictions may be exaggerated but the message is clear - humans need to change living behavior or there will be consequences. Think about the things you throw away and know that they are going to sit in a landfill - never to degrade until a nuclear explosion. For example: plastic grocery bags, plastic cups, deodorants, aerosol containers, broken glass, waxed food containers, electronic equipment, broken light bulbs, kitchen appliances, the list goes on. If you think that nature can handle all that then I'd like to move into your world. Sorry if i offend anyone but I strongly believe in making a difference.
  2. hehe. i can respect that. i still disagree but if we all agreed then this would be a boring world.
  3. it's been dugged. (laugh) seems like the same article as before? Anyway, in my opinion, i don't really care that Al Gore may have exaggerated global warming. The awareness that he brought is leading many people to take action - all of which is good. Quite frankly, I don't know why there is all this hoopla about his exaggeration. Why not jump on people who don't like genetically modified organisms because they are scared of mutations? Why not criticize those that are against stem cell research based on the fact that they're scared of rogue scientists and embryo farms? THOSE are the exaggerations that should be stopped. Those are the people who hinder science that can make society better.
  4. (laugh) yum. duck. a grellow duck. (drooler)
  5. can you hang it on the back? Can I be next in line? I can pick up - i'm in Corvallis.
  6. um.... go beavs!!!! (laugh) glad to see more students here. (dancing)
  7. (scratch) I dunno if he solidly vouched for one or the other but who cares what Borneman thinks is the best salt? whatever works for your tank, works for your tank. (laugh) bluecheese, i would go ahead and just call the LFS's close by where you live for a price check. For 400g of salt, i'm sure someone will cut you a deal.
  8. the member's tank forum? i was in seattle and missed all the hoopla! (scratch) what's going on?!
  9. oh man! last night's episode totally made up for last week's episode.
  10. I think it was revealed in the second season. Does anyone think they're trying to get rid of Lost like they did with Alias by moving the time slot to 10pm? :(
  11. looks fine to me. maybe a little bleached? maybe a little hungry...
  12. I can help on the bottles! I live on soda - good for studying! I even have 3L bottles. no joke. I also have a blender that has dulled down (at least in my opinion, is dull. I'm in Corvallis an probably won;t be home in Portland until Spring break. I'm interested in the orange with green skirts zoas. Let me know if we can work something out (unless you already got the stuff...in that case, i still want the zoas!) (laugh)
  13. so i'm not saying that it doesn't work for me, i'm saying that my pop-up blocker blocked a lot of messages and when I finally un-blocked it, a whole bunch popped up but then disappeared. My question was if I can view them now ... (scratch) anyway, CCR answered me. thanks!
  14. Ok, so I checked this website at work today and for some reason the pop-up blocker was disabled and a message popped up. I realized that it was an LPP and the reason why people had been "ignoring" my LPP's to them was because the pop-up blocker on my home computer had been blocking their responses. (whistle) oops. (laugh) So, is there anyway I can view all my LPP's like I do my messages or once I close them, they're gone?

    is this bleached

I think it's bleached. In my experience the "base" (below the "bumps") should be colored - what color? it all varies but never white...maybe a cream or beige color but not stark white.
  16. those lighter spots toward the center is normal?
