Ya, it went from MH in LFS to PC (1 month max) and now a 175W MH (2.5 months).

If it's just one small rock and you don't want to go around guessing where it went to hide off in or if it's completely overtaken the rock, I don't see what the big deal is. To get rid of aptasia I pulled the rock and blasted the thing with hot water - not really boiling but enough to make it wilt and I scraped it out - while i didn't totally kill the "live-ness" of it, i'm sure it set back my cycle a bit but so what! Personally, I'd rather have one base rock than put exactly the right amount of kalk mix in the right place. Also, what if you don't want a peppermint shrimp?! ah ha! (whistle) (laugh) Whatever works out in the end is the right way and it looks like kalk worked out for you so good! the end. (laugh)

I got a sun coral that I don't really have time for - I have to put it in a separate container to feed. It's got about 15 big polyps and like 10 little ones. I feed it a bunch so it's been sprouting babies like crazy. asking $20. It's bigger than a quarter but the image shows up kinda like they're the same. I'd say it's about two inches wide? i dunno. thanks for looking! EDIT: I'm in Portland for the next three weeks

when i first started my tank i went with the 1lb per gallon but now I would say: go with the amount that "looks right" while keeping in mind the kind of fish and corals you want; and definitely hand pick your rock.

I had no idea there was a wind storm coming. I've been in bed with the flu. Wish i had power last night so i could have seen this. I flipped out and wrapped my tank in tin foil and towels. lost power at around 8pm and got it back today at around noon. :( everything looks alive and I didn't have to go to work today!
