SPOILER ALERT!!! uh ohhhh, I'm gonna have to agree kinda with Joel.... I thought it was a mediocre finale. I predicted everything before it occurred. The "flashforward" was lame. Charlie dying was lame, he could have just put on the stupid scuba gear stuff or locked it from the outside or something! Jack's "flashforward" was lame. The whole "i love you" thing to Kate was lame. She's prolly with Swayer and becomes something like her mother. The whole fake death with Jin, Bernard and Sayid thing was lame. The whole John Locke thing was lame. Lame lame lame lame. The only good thing was Hurley. Blah. I think the first half before the power outage was better. Where is all the suspense? Where are the mystifying questions? Where is the frustrating plot twist? I'm highly disappointed. But, obviously I'll still watch next season. (laugh)

don't say anything yet! half of corvallis lost electricity last night right in the middle of lost and only like 2 minutes before they announced the american idol winner. gaaaaahhh. I have to watch the lost episode online now. (sad)

I would ask a life science research lab (at a university/community college?) for the shipping boxes they receive. My lab gets them allll the time. I even took a few for transporting my fish from here to Portland.

I agree with your friends, it was waaay too emo verging on ridiculously cheesy. I think a lot of people laughed AT the movie instead of with the movie if you know what I mean... (scratch) I guess it was very comic-book like and stayed pretty close to the story so in that respect I think it was a good movie. To be honest though, I much preferred the first half over the second part of the movie - it's as if partway through they switched directors or something. But definitely see it in a busy theater. I went to the midnight showing and the people in the theater made it just that much better. (laugh)

I'm not a fan of small towns. I get bored way too easily and plus, everyone I know will be in Portland. So, I will be commuting from Portland which is about 40 miles away... If you consider that a close commute then maybe I should stop groaning! (laugh) I think I wouldn't mind living in Wilsonville but I doubt I would be able to afford my own apartment and I'm leery of rooming with someone that I don't know and isn't a college student...

I wish I could live close to work but I already took the job far away. I could move there but I can't really afford it straight out of college and plus, I reeeeeeeaally don't want to move to Silverton. Any advice about a long commute?

That would be what I would do if I was just doing city driving...but I need to drive about 40 miles back and forth from my job...I need a reliable car to make money. (sad) it's a double whammy. I'm graduating this spring as a microbiology major and I've never taken a business class so I don't really know what a flex plan is or a 401K is. My roommate had to explain a credit card to me (money I don't have but I can spend! wow!). I will need a more reliable car (I will be commuting about 80 miles a day total) so how should I go about getting a car? I am looking at a used hybrid but it has to have over 100K miles on it for me to consider it "affordable". I'll be living with my mom so I'll be saving on rent but I do want my own place because she still tells me to brush my teeth. (sad) So! Anyone have any advice? Anything they wish they did differently after graduating college/going professional? Anything you did that saved your future? I'd like to hear about it.

I have to warn you that I have an algae problem and maybe (although I haven't seen any lately) a flatworm problem. However, I don't really want to deal with it now since I will be moving soon.
