  1. Many thanks to MissDeffiance and sergebmw3 for stopping by to pick up sale-stuff and be for being soooo patient while I entertained them with my anthias-catching skills... or lack thereof ;-)
  2. I wonder... could you QT live rock from the DT in a Brute while you nuke the tank with Interceptor? Then put the LR back in to the DT once the redbugs are gone to re-seed the 'pod population... One problem with just living with them is that you can't share/sell frags.
  3. The skimmer is 27" tall and the cylinder is 6" in diameter
  4. Platonic?! You sure know how to break a guy's heart...
  5. Thanks Kim, I'm sure I'll be back someday.. once the salt gets into the bloodstream, it never leaves completely ;-)
  6. Oh, and please reply via PM -- questions etc are fine in the thread, but it is a lot easier to handle the actual "I'll take it!" stuff via PM. Thanks!
  7. Hi cklskypilot, The goby is taken, but Fred and the 150W lights are still available.
  8. Here you go: Basically, this with these and one of these, plus a connection for this jobbie here.
  9. Yup, with no skimmer I'm racing the clock. Figure I'll have to do a significant waterchange each week to keep it healthy...
  10. And now, the end is here And so (my aquarium) faces the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case of which I'm certain It's lived a life that's full It's (metaphorically) traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this, I did it the DIY-way (nutty) The recirc pump on my skimmer seized up and I just don't have the time or inclination to replace it. It's time for me to take a break from the hobby. I'm kind'a sad about it (sad) but also kind'a relieved. So, time to get rid of it all. The usual rules apply... livestock before equipment, cash only, live pick-up only (no deliveries or mailing), first come, first served. I can get more pictures of stuff if you really need them, but *please* don't ask me for photos of things like the $5 Kenya Tree (laugh) I'm open to offers, but I think the prices are pretty fair overall; if I'm out in the weeds let me know, but no lowballing. Negative rep

I love negative rep points -- giving and getting ;-) I wish people would lighten up, there's lots of things to get knickers twisted up about but a couple of negative rep points on the local aquarium club website ain't on my list.
  13. Not bad, Scott -- getting by. You?
  14. Never trust what an LFS tells you about fish, ALWAYS do your own research.
  15. Fans outside paid $200 a pop for the experience. P.T. Barnum was right.
  16. My secret shame: I really like a Big Mac every once in a while.
  17. Somebody screwed up. Try it again. If the same thing happens, stick with McDonalds (laugh)
  18. How old are your RODI cartridges? Sounds like diatoms...
  19. Roy you *really* want to root that bad boy and install Cyanogen. Then you can replace the kernel and overclock it, get free wireless hotspot/tethering, full filesystem access, etc. etc. FWIW, I'm switching to iPhone, but not because Android sucks (it doesn't, it's awesome) but because iOS is just a bit more awesome ;-) As far as apps go, there are a few older threads talking about nice Android apps.
  20. I'd call a carpet cleaner -- maybe one that specializes in water damage. They're experts at dealing with this kind of thing and if it's only one room it might not cost an arm and a leg.
