  1. I'm looking forward to tagging along on this one too. I might upgrade to something similar, someday -- love this size cube.
  2. Ahhh, thanks -- that wasn't quite it but it got me on the right track; I had "only stuff I follow" checked. Duhr.
  3. Every time I click the 'View New Content' button, I get told there's no new content... even when there is. Perhaps I misunderstand what it does...
  4. Well earned weekend.

  5. Man, I hate test kits where you have to differentiate between 8 shades of light green to make the reading. If I do the test sample to card comparison in the kitchen, I've hit zero ammonia. In the dining room I'm at a very light 0.2 Patience is not my strong suit. I might be rounding down tomorrow.
  6. I didn't know that -- very cool. He does seem the sort who'd keep fish.
  7. Fridays are for wasting, I guess. Bummer about Nimoy though, I grew up watching him and Shatner.
  8. Oh, and get the goop out of there. If they are dinos you want 'em gone. More info here
  9. I suspect the goop is a clue. The goop in the sump (dinos?) must be getting nutrients from somewhere. Maybe some toxicity from the goop is making it to the DT? Try more/newer carbon really heavy and track down where those excess nutrients are coming from.
  10. Another way to fake the effect is to squint at the pic with your eyes almost shut.

Thanks Kim, I'll keep them in mind when I'm ready to spend...
  12. Waitasec. You said that was the OLD avatar. Shenanigans?
  13. Does anyone have first-hand experience with the Nanobox Tide LED? I'm hoping for a local review...
  14. I tried a GFCI power strip last time around and found it to be way too touchy. It'd click off when anything drawing much current on the same circuit turned on. TV came on, aquarium turned off. Sub-optimal. I put a good quality GFCI outlet in the wall box, worked like a charm.
  15. This sounds great. I noticed the tanks when I walked by heading to Cuttle Fish & Corals -- funny how "that certain lighting" catches the eye, isn't it? Either a reef tank, or a grow operation :-D I plan on being there.
  16. Amen. I told myself when I was planning this tank that I'd just set it up and let it cycle for a month, without checking params. Slow and easy. It hasn't worked out that way. It's a good thing the Red Sea ammonia test kit has enough reagents for a hundred tests
  17. Nice growth, everything looks fantastic. The Purple Tang is amazing!
  18. Really, really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow out.
  19. Thanks! I don't know whether I should hug you, or curse you ;-)
  20. Thanks! So many choices regarding LED lighting, it's hard to know what's best.

Phew. I was worried I'd need lead shielding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you think one of these would be okay over my 10gal?
