i think there comes a point ware u over test and kits like this are for those folks but hey its your money but i wouldnt spend that salifert does just as good if your looking for dangerous levels in your tank .

i use ebo jagger if im spelling it right has a switch so it cant burn up if pulled from water and such have worked fine for me and clients for years with np

i know high nitrates can affect snails but probly wont show nitrates with the bloom your having also fluc ph can cause this test ph when lights have ben on for awhile say at least 5 hours then test in the mourning after theyve ben off all night will give you a accurate swing from day to night you dont want more then a couple points swing if any.also heat fluc can also do this combine the two can be deadly if the swing is fast.

check your silicate levels usally the cause of diatom out breaks once levels reach a certain point your problem starts if using ro water check that as well might be time to change the membrane.diotoms are a silicate based algae

sounds like your doing everything u can so time will be your enmy now youll get it back in shape

ok well are you using some sort of purified water is the halide bulb old (over a year)once bulb gets old gos to the red spectrum fosters algae growth also when u moved the tank what little balance it had was lost so this would add to the ongoing algae prob if this was already a prob so stick with it if your using good purified water for water changes it will go away but dont expect it to happen real soon.
