  4. oh and as far as quality from aqua desighn hes got great stuff spendy but stuff is as shown not sure who had bad experance but mines ben good so far
  5. ive got a bud that we go in on rare corals this one came from a guy that hand picks stuff for us he said it was from the same stock as the tyree sunset but ill just stick with the reg old sunset monti has great color and growing well but never fast enough lol:D
  6. sounds like your on the right track.
  7. Sorry if this is a little late but i like to get a invert and hardy coral base going first fish are nutrient producers and corals are nutreint takers , corals such as zoo's most leathers and majority of LPS are good to start with now also i stay away from fish that will predtorize your growing micro fauna unless your using a refungium but always better to get good colonys of critters going first before preditors are added like blennys, grammas, hawkfish ext.Ive found tank balances quicker also as mentioned above do all additions in moderation this is the hardest part be pateint and only add one to two things at time and give a week or two between times its hard but it will save your pocket book and a headache lol but with this said you do want a few fish to help feed the tank and corals so my first are usally chromis then later someone in the tang family.

Torches can touch torches but they cant touch frogspawns or hammers but frogspawn and hammers can touch wall type or branching dosnt matter have many diffrent morphs with no probs touching.
  9. looks like a toadstool leather but definately a leather looks like in the sarcophyton family
  10. yep that be them my bud has a in with him plus picked up two hot pink yumas thats the huge pic maybe kieth can shrink lol(whistle)

  12. here a pic of the oregon duck zoo at least thats what i call them lol heres some amazing stuff i picked up at upscales Here a great copps denae i picked up at waves Heres some of the amazing frags i got from ryan at advanced there are two other plating acros but couldnt get good pics sweet frags though ill try to get good pics same with the zoo trade great frags.Hers some i picked up earlier in the week and a pic of the sunset monti for H2
  13. Just a lttle FYI ryan did a great job putting things into laymens terms so all can understand what he was talking about take it from me some professors dont or wont so those of you that understand all the gargin great but it may put off others that dont or like me understand but are put off by people that use big words that dont need too.So just make sure hes into the hobby so he or she can be able to relate on whats going on in closed systems.
  14. nope those arntthe oregon duck zoos but there just as nice not sure now who got those i brought all good ones so hope everyone was happy.
  15. Yeppers zoaid.com and nope dont have my own site yet but working on it hopefuly in the next few months ill get it going.
  16. there all my favs even the brown ones:D
  17. Just wanted to say it was a great time meeting those at the meeting and getting to put faces with names R2 gave a great and informative speech really shows how great a club u guys have up there and cant wait to get to next one im going to try to make the bar-b-Q but with my daughter coming in late july might be a tuff one so till the next one thanks all.(rock2)
  18. im bringing some nice ones there all one's that i have pics posted on forum but ill leave it a surprise:D
  19. Wow lol anyways yes the diotoms will subside how fast depends on each system if its bad u may want to shorten photo period to 5-6 hour a day if there getting really bad also if the lights are old that your using on this new setup will make algae cycle last longer so id get new bulbs if u can also just a FYI i would have not recomened monti's under thurty watts of light etheir because etheir they may turn brown or die for most folks so its great they did well for you, and i wont speak for others but i know all are here to help and somtimes things that are typed arnt exactly understood completely by all so somthin to think about be fore u take things personnaly just my two cents:D
  20. sorry dude i play battle field 2
  21. turns out this is one of the guys my bud has a connection with so i might get package deal two hot pink yumas and this blasto and the deep blue discmosa so will see ill post picks if i get.
  22. i get mine from local shops or online usally corallife brand i presonaly dont use but clients use on smaller systems i maintain but its much less hassel if u buy from local shop because somtimes bulbs are bad so worth the little extra $ plus your supporting a local shop and if bulb is bad they replace on the spot ware as you have to ship and wait for online company to reship back i only buy online if buying large quanitys at a time.
  23. those will be sweet ill probly wait a year usally price drops 25%-40% or others jump in and come out with there own lighting variation cant wait till they hit the market.
  24. yea need to switch every six to eight months stuff will start to brown out and certain micro algaes will take off due to the fact your bulbs are going more to the red spectrum which they like:D
