  1. Looks fine to me, too! Course, we could all be a part of the conspiracy against you... (plotting)
  2. Wow! You're from Creswell, too! Can this town sustain two houses with reef tanks? (laugh)
  3. You're a poet! (laugh) I just did the tally and it's 44 memberships... but we have about 55 registered users. The number is a bit skewed because of the family memberships with two registered users on the forum. Hopefully the numbers will keep growing (and I can get my goofy label maker to print so I can send you, Nyles and oldbrownies your cards!) so we can do lots of fun filled things in the future! (clap)
  4. Just keep practicing... you'll soon be turning out shots that will make me jealous! (clap)
  5. There are close to 55 paid members. Most of our members are from the Oregon and Washington areas... but really, anyone can become a member of PNWMAS if they want, no matter where they live. They just won't be able to take advantage of store discounts as much as those of us who live in the area.
  6. I love how it's looking! And great pics, by the way! (clap)
  7. Kudos to you with your success with a ten gallon nano! Wowsers! Nanos aren't easy... I know. I broke my 20L down right before Turkey Day. (laugh)
  8. I've got a stand for it, too.
  9. We have a 72 bow that we would LOVE to get rid of. Jay (Chief) fixed the brace on it, you'll have to email him about specifics. The halides we had running on it kinda compromised the integrity of it. I'll make him PM you... we'll make you a good deal! I just want to get rid of it! (laugh)
  10. I'm not entirely sure what it is... but whenever in doubt, it's best just to take it out. Hopefully someone else will be able to identify it for you.
  11. Well, I guess I'd better find a gift for the exchange so three of us can do it at least! (laugh) That's what I'm between, beans for the Mexican food (God bless each and every one of you, I love Mexican cuisine!) or stuffing to go with the two turkeys that Jay brought home tonight (along with the two hams). Cyenna, those truffles sound heavenly! I'm not sure how that would work with the liquor in them. Amusing story that ties in with that... we went to the Christmas Expo up in Portland a few weeks ago and someone was peddling "Medicine Balls". Because they have liquor in them, I was asked if I was old enough. At 36, I never thought I would be carded ever again! I think the Milwaukee Center has a no alcohol clause, someone else may chime in that's more in the know. Not sure if you can enter the raffle and not be present either... but again, hopefully someone more in the know will chime in.
  12. I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking there's a shortage on sides and sweets. Well, not a shortage... but they're not as well represented as the other courses! Is anyone else doing the "white elephant gift exchange" or is Jay the only one that bought something for it? (laugh)
  13. (laugh) For me, if I want to sell something I will post it here first. If it doesn't sell I will post it elsewhere, where there is more traffic. As for questions, I will ask here but at the same time I will also research the other sites to find answers. I personally like reading several solutions as opposed to one. You have to remember that we are a small site and the question you asked... no one may have had the answer to. If it's about a specific piece of equipment, then the chances of it being answered here are far less than Reef Central. But believe me when I say that we all do want to help out... when we can of course!
  14. I guess I'm the minority here. I like the way Reef Frontiers, as well as RC, is set up. It would give the site more continuity between the forums and the front page. At the moment they look like two very different sites, the front page and the forums. And heck, if it's good enough for RC... But that's just my opinion. I have nothing to do with the front page. Keeping it simple is the best plan, as far as I'm concerned. Change is good? Change is not good? I don't care as long as the forums keep working. I never go to the front page. (laugh)

    Just some pics

I did some quick internet sleuthing and found the manual in PDF format for your camera: Nikon D70 Manual Great job with your tank- I love the aquascaping!
  16. Great topic, Brandon! (clap) For me, I just love the beauty of a healthy reef tank. All of the colors (unless of course your coral decided to brown out), the life (who hasn't gone on late night missions with a flashlight to see what kind of creepy crawlies lurk)... and honestly I love the constant process of having to learn about having to take proper care of our systems. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when I'm a frail, old lady and can't physically take care of the tank. Yes, I think about this!
  17. I personally enjoy getting shocked by stray voltage... that's my favorite masochistic activity. Then you have to turn something off, see if you get shocked again... lather rinse repeat... And of course Jay is reluctant to take part in the festivities. (laugh)
  18. I can totally understand what you guys are all talking about. I am actually very very introverted. The very first meeting we went to, I think it was at Waves, I was pretty terrified as well as intimidated. But we just stuck with it and kept going. But yeah, name tags would be cool. And Jay did say that asking for the noobs was a good idea. Course, that would friggin' terrify me in itself back before I got to know the club! (laugh)
  19. Fret not, my pet. I sent you a PM... we'll get them to you next weekend. We didn't come back through Salem until ten in the evening. I'll get you your racks, I promise!
