  1. Now now, Ryan! (peace) rofl We started out with a 72 bow and I never liked the whole "bow" effect, if that makes sense. It distorted the view. But other than that, pretty tank! So no need for your 46... I have a 72 on the back deck that we can't seem to unload on someone! (laugh)
  2. Are you kidding? I saw the tank and it's awesome! Nice and wide! You're going to love that for aquascaping. And someday... you're going to be thinking that the tank is too small! rofl
  3. I wish I did a 40 breeder rather than a 20L for my zoa garden. It's amazing how quickly I ran out of real estate once I started collecting my zoanthids. I also wish I never opted for a PC lighting set up. Metal halide is the only way to go... well, in my opinion. And most of all, I wish I would have plumbed my system into Jay's system from the get-go! Ah, to have that much water volume for added stability. Plus I'd have the advantage of a calc reactor, a huge skimmer, a fuge... (sad)
  4. I vote for a crazy zoa tank with inverts! The two reasons I set up my 20L was to have the dimunitive inverts that would be lost (and eaten) in a larger system and also have a place to showplace my passion... zoanthids. And yeah, put a halide on it. I am going to upgrade my lighting on my nano from PC (gag... never again!) to a halide. Incidentally, I don't see why you couldn't throw in one of the small shrimp gobys and a pistol as well! Hehe!
  5. Giant Bali Xenia macro taken with a Nikon Coolpix 2500, 1.9 MP camera. Not bad, considering what I had to work with. Not great either though! (laugh)
  6. Thanks, Mike! (laugh) Jay called last night around eleven or so and we were told that the "name servers weren't reachable", that they'd fix it. I stayed up until 3am... still down. I'm glad you got it up for a bit! Then Jay texted me and told me that we were suspended because of spam... I put the email that I got from Host Dime in a different thread... so DANG! It looks like we're back up! We'll be removing Flash Chat tonight when Jay gets home (most likely). Yes, I could do it now... but if Jay is here, then if everything goes gunny bag he can share the blame! (laugh) Stupid exploit scripts/hackers/evil doers! A pox on them! (flame)
  7. Apparently Flash Chat has some security issues and an exploit script was put in it. This is my email (without all of the error codes): So, Jay and I have decided that we're going to kick flash chat to the curb. We'll find a different, more secure, chat program. If one exists! I know I certainly don't want the site suspended again! I was beginning to go through withdrawals! (scary)
  8. Aw! That's just the sweetest thing ever! :o He's right... I can't decide on a camera. Nikon seems to have the lowest noise of most cameras, Canon has this huge fanbase that loves the Rebel... even the Olympus Evolt 500 has some nice aspects to it. And of course, my last camera was a Sony which I ADORED which makes the a100 a serious contender. I didn't know Olympus and Panasonic were coming out with new models next year. But man... I don't know if I can hold out for that long. I'm seriously aching for a camera! It literally pains me not to have a camera! Thanks for all the info CCCP! Feel free to enlighten me more about the wonderful world of digital SLRs! Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed and want to say "to heck with it!"... especially when it comes to figuring out lenses. And don't worry, my beloved husband. You will be dropping a serious chunk of change in the near future. I just want to make absolutely sure I'm making the right choice! (scary) I don't think I can go wrong with Nikon or Canon. Olympus does have a nice thing going giving you two kit lenses. Seems like it's 14mm to 150mm. But one thing I have learned, it's all about the glass. Crap lens, incredible camera... crap pictures. (laugh)
  9. Actually, thank Jay. But I did supply the nagging! (wife)
  10. This just breaks my heart! I am seriously sad that he was taken from us. (sad) Heck, I'm just to bummed to even say anymore. This is such a great loss!
  11. You are like so totally amazing, dude! (clap) (I miss my camera... (sad) )
  12. Give Jay a holler. Sometimes he can get tickets from vendors. You'll just be forced to go to the game with him. (scary)
  13. A: B: C: D: E: F: G: H: I: Good luck, everyone!

    Zoos!!!

Does a bear... er, wrong forum! I am so in on a zoa frag-fest! We need to try to score some premium colonies if we can. That would be awesome! (rock2)
  15. I am a research fiend! That's why I so love the internet! I've been lurking in several photography forums as well, seeing how users like their cameras. Course, no one has the D80 or XTi yet... so I guess my camera purchase won't be happening in the immediate future. Jay still hasn't gotten the reimbursement for the stolen camera yet either. Sorry you had a rough go with Sony products, Andy! I've always had good luck with them, but that doesn't mean diddly! I loved the H1 although I was a bit peeved that they came out with the H2 within a few months with the Carl Zeiss lens. Also, amusingly, the D80 uses a Sony CCD. (laugh) Can't wait for the D80 and XTi to be released so I can see how people like them!
  16. There's a new option! Canon is updating the Rebel XT to the XTi. Just announced today, although I've heard rumors about it. So now I'm down to: Nikon D80 Canon Rebel XTi Sony A100 The specs all look pretty comporable between all of them. I have a soft spot for Sony since that's what I had. They also bought out Konica Minolta, so it's kind of a Minolta which is cool. I held it and it fits my hands nicely. But what really matters is the picture taking ability. The Nikon... I haven't gotten ahold of a D80 to hold yet. Have handled a D70s though. Bit big, but I'm after the quality of the camera. The one thing that worries me about Nikon is it apparently doesn't come bundled with a RAW editting program. It's just a tester. The Canon XT seems a bit... flimsy for lack of better words. The XTi doesn't come out until next month though, so that model might be a bit different. So that's how the search stands now.
  17. Jay... it's only $85 a month... I'll never ask for another thing ever! (flower)
  18. You are excused! (laugh) And congrats! 15 years is quite an achievement!
  19. Trust me, I wasn't going to unload them all on you at once. Slow and sure wins the race!
