Jeff.Tichenor
My 2 green fuzzy mushrooms have multiplied into about 20. How do I remove some of these without killing them?

Sweet shrooms btw
Jeff.Tichenor
Thanks! I would rather not have to remove the rock if possible (there are about 3 like the one in pic). I'll try to hit them with some flow from a mini powerhead and see if that does the trick. Do they attach with a foot like an anemone? MrMonte
I don’t know how to detach but those are cool mushrooms! Edited September 21, 2021 by MrMonte
obrien.david.j
The only way I could ever remove mushrooms was to fully remove & replace a whole rock. This morning, this posting suggested it may work for mushrooms too. Maybe try it. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/safe-and-easy-diy-way-to-remove-nems.861213/
bler
With enough persistence aptasia X will get it small enough to physically remove or some critter will eat enough when it's dead from an application to rid it.
pdxmonkeyboy
I have some of this !#^%$@#^$ in my tank. I have tried scraping, covering in glue, lasering, and hurling insults at it. I am going to cover it with alk paste this weekend. Removing it will likely cause fragments to float free... then you will have a new patch to deal with. youcallmenny
Aptasia X will kill them but honestly that's one of those corals I don't let touch my main rocks, ever. Treat it like GSP and make an island rock if you must but the problem with mushrooms is they can let go and drift away behind a rock where they lurk and multiply.
