WAVES Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 Aquarium Division Customer service, inside sales & marketing SUNLIGHT SUPPLY INC., a Vancouver, WA based manufacturer of aquarium lighting fixtures and national distributor of aquarium supplies is seeking a customer service, sales and marketing specialist for a position located at their Vancouver, WA distribution facility. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the reef aquarium industry. Position requires experience and knowledge of the products used in the reef aquarium industry, as well as hands on experience with reef aquarium life support. Previous employment in industry related sales and/or customer services positions preferred. The position will have a heavy emphasis in sales order processing as well as aid in website maintenance, social media marketing and promotional material. Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel is also required, additional knowledge of the CS5 Adobe Suite preferred. Must be organized, customer service oriented, energetic and self motivated. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must. All applicants will need to provide a verifiable list of professional references and must pass a drug test and background check. (: Kate Actually Sunlight Supply has a very strict rule regarding drug use etc. We do not market to "that crowd" including magazines that are directly marketing to illicit use. If our customers inform us they intend to use the products we sell for illegal activity we will not sell to them. You wont find pot leaves on products at Sunlight Supply etc. Lets please not turn this thread into a debate on this topic, if you'd like to start a different one your welcomed to, but I really want to keep this thread about the opportunity at hand. I do not know where the Sunlight Supply forum went, otherwise I would have posted this in that section. That's yet another topic itself. I flew into Denver last night, I hired someone for the central portion of the country today, I leave tomorrow for tradeshow prep tomorrow and Friday, tradeshow this weekend etc etc. I want to review everyone’s emails carefully, and I’ve been too distracted with the situation. You can't avoid the fact of what market the product is likely to end up in but you can avoid discussing it and I don't blame you for doing so. Moreover you work on the aquarium side. My apologies. I know one good candidate aside from being an energetic and bubbly person. He is meticulous, honest, straight with bad news and dedicated. I know few people who fit the energetic salesperson mold who also are as likely to be attentive to detail and dedicated to doing things the right way. Pm me if you did not pick someone already. Shaun would be awesome, though. Wishing you the best of luck, as I do enjoy your products.
