belt sander and 40 grit paper is your friend for flattening rock. Looking good though!

It is really really cool Bill. Watching your alk is not only important to keep corals healthy but it can also be a great way to identify a problem early before RTN or STN sets in.

It looks like an OK setup but as other have said, it is overpriced. Those tanks are $40 brand new.

It really is nice. Fired up my cal reactor and saw alk slowly climbing, just clicked on the co2 solonoid and raised the PH settings a bit. All done from the office.

Copper will treat both copper and velvet. A formalin dip (or a freshwater dip) can both effective at providing temporary relief. Unless it is a clown fish, I doubt it is brook. Probably velvet. If that is the case I would strongly advise a freshwater dip ASAP.

Go in and talk to Jeff. It does kind of beg the question why the club doesn't have some of these for use?
-
you are 100% absolutely positively looking for the ones on the bottom, not the dual cup mickey mouse things.
There are club members and LFS that have them.
How big of a tank are we talking?

Mine have always been pretty chill. My only advice is to make sure your rock work is secure. I have lost two triggers by them trying to wriggle into the tinniest space imaginable and then having the rocks collapse on them.

I just use acid.. because it is kind of dangerous, and therefore fun. Bleach is never fun. Melting things with acid... yeah baby!
