    Sps problem.

I have seen them come out and they are long about 3-4 inches. But there's a coral between this and the Hollywood stunner so I'm going to rule that out Just finished dipping this piece and I saw nothing come off. But I did notice this on my green star polyps you guys have any ideas.

    Sps problem.

Ph has seemed low to me also I'll try placing it outside and testing and I will report back. I will also try and remove it and dip tonight to see if anything comes off. No other corals show any signs

    Sps problem.

I'm using Kent marine salt the alk was at 9.5 a few days before the wc first water change I had done in a month. Which from what I have read for dosing alk 1 point change is an acceptable amount for increasing. Nothing else seems to be mad just this one coral. I'm still pretty new to this I have a little over 100 gallons of volume so I figured 30% wc wouldn't be too big of a deal? I come from an estimated index planted tank so I'm use to doing weekly large water changes so learning this small water change game

    Sps problem.

Currently I'm not consuming enough alk cal mag. To be dosing I have dosed baked baking soda to raise alk up a little bit numbers are pretty consistent no substantial changes I test weekly at a minimum.

    Sps problem.

Sorry was at school when I posted needed to test water still. Alk: 8.4 Cal: 400 Mag: 1480 Phos: 0.03 Nitrate: 5ppm Salinity: 1.26 Ph: 7.6 75 gallon with about 30 gallon sump. Simplicity 240 skimmer just did a 30 gallon water change parameter were close to the same before water change. No other corals seem to be showing any problems.

    Sps problem.

Can anyone shed some light on what's happening here?
  10. Still would overload his main relay being that the bar is only rated for 15a. Which is most likely that way because standard home circuits are only 15amps. But if you brought line voltage to the reply from a separate circuit you could use the apex to send control voltage to switch the the relay on and off based off the temp probe.
  11. Could you possibly add a cadet heater on a thermostat wouldn't take much for that small insulated room to heat to the temp you wanted. Other than that or running 4 500w's as suggested out would need a dedicated circuit for that load and something to control it. Or maybe a profilux controller which I believe can have larger relays @16a due to the fact it's built like an industrial plc. From what I was reading in r2r's controller comparison thread.
  12. You are correct I quick browsed that didn't realize it was the entire bar. Although on an eb4. It looks like #3 is a 12a
  13. I just noticed this tonight on this sps frag. Can you guys point me in the right direction of what's going on
  14. https://forum.neptunesystems.com/showthread.php?20-Read-this-first-Energy-Bars-and-outlets I guess according to this they are rated at 15 amps. So it should still be fine. Even running per continous duty at 80% it would only be .5 amps over. Which realalistically would be fine and I doubt the heater will be on for a 3 hour period without turning off at least once.
  15. I want to say they have a few 20amps relays and that heater should only draw 12.5amps so should be fine but I would confirm there is a 20amp relay.
  16. I think they mean cayes (sp) on division
  17. http://www.pnwmas.org/topic/38816-store-information/#entry388444 I apologize it's located in Springfield
  18. Glad to hear it. Wild the sand bed was housing the nitrates so well.
  19. Welcome to the Club! I believe there are some members from your area not sure on names as I'm still fairly new. Also I think "The fish Store" one of our sponsors is in Eugene!
  20. Awesome Daniel thanks for the sponsorship!
  21. I'd be interested in 1 of each I could pick up today around 3:30. I'll pm my phone number
  22. You could also go the zeolite route. Maybe add a marine pure block to the sump if you don't have one.
  23. I would think you would still want to monitor it just in case the co2 reactor malfunctioned. Especially if your were out of town. Also alot of smaller system I believe most under 75 gallons they say it's a cheaper route to dose.
