I recently purchased a used complete setup that included a 120 gallon tank with dual Megaflow overflows. The back glass and overflows are really encrusted with coralline algae (see picture).
My questions are:
1. How do you get the coralline off of the plastic overflows without tearing them up?
2. Do I really need to get it ALL off?
3. How do you get all the junk out of the space between the inner and main overflow sections? (see picture)
I can buy a case of vinegar and let it soak for a while I guess.
Any other suggestions?

My truck was stolen from my driveway in Salem yesterday. It's a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 2x2 dark green extended cab with a gray fiberglass canopy. Oregon veteran plates GKRG with SW Asia service medal on the left. If you see it call the cops please.
I did it with my Phantom clowns and it was really easy once I had the system down. I used 8 gallon tubs from Walmart. I got two cheap preset heaters and temperature probes from Amazon. Mixed up 5 gallon batches of SW the night before the transfer and the next morning did the deed. Dumped old water and rinsed and let everything dry till the next go round. If you do the minimum number of transfers (~72 hours) it reduces the workload. I also dosed Prime and Prazipro during the course.
Prior to getting the tank we had regular indoor pest control treatments. I have read that this can kill a tank real quick. Are there any options out there or know of a company that can treat and not nuke a tank?

Has two channel built in timer and blue moon LEDs. It has 2 x ATI Coral + and 2 x ATI Blue + bulbs that i put in at the beginning of March and ran about 6 hours a day on each channel until the end of May.
I'd like to get 2 or 3 dosing pumps for it. I am in Salem.
