  1. So here is a couple more things you can use to help. I wish it was plastic but it does the job and for 8 bucks for the picker and 99 cents for the funnel it will help. Just tossing some other ideas up like my Rubbermaid scrubber idea Ok you tired of putting your hand in the water to flip a snail or put a frag back. These grip well not for rocks but was able to hold 3 lbs. You can grip something flip the lock switch on it. Works great for reach in back of the tank to grab a snail or something... Also its cheap and easy to use its handy tool. Next is a funnel . So what do you use the funnel for well many things but for starters do you have a PhosBan Reactor or something? Well there you go. Measure out a cup instead of covering the middle hole with tape or your finger and spilling it all over your floor and carpet use the funnel. Ok theres my 2 cents of the day enjoy maybe it will help you smile when you don't make a mess or reach in get your shirt wet enjoy
  2. Welcome and love the 40b thats a great tank
  3. When you guys get one and test it out let me know what ya think
  4. I was thinking the ones I had never ate them things as well.. But that's great if you find them that are tank raised to eat them mine were just dumb I guess
  5. So i got some birds nest , Hawkins, Sunset Microlados, Ice Tort, Mattv Mirage and couple other things tonight at the meeting I didnt get pics of everything but there all there
  6. Awesome i used to have a fish i passed around that would wipe them out. Glad to see they did the job
  7. It was nice meeting you folks and thanks for the swaps while i was there took me couple hours to dip and put everything in but there there Looking forward to another event to meet more of you all.
  8. There is a SW Millikan Way in Tigard Tulatin as well so make sure to go to the Beaverton one Ok heading out now
  9. I think you will love this. Take it easy test it out Like I said I just did my whole 100 gallon tank zipping through it in 5 minutes. One thing when you get into the holes of the cracks make sure no fish are in there This is if you plan to run across any rocks which I do I do the glass rocks powerhead. After a month I take the power head off clean it anyway quickly like brand new Enjoy I'm like you anything that we can use for everyday use for a expensive hobby then do it if it works This works for me that's all I can say with 0 problems EDIT I wanted to say as I mentioned I love this tool it is one of my most used things in reefing. I would pay 20 bucks all day for this when you get it and put it in your hands you will know its a beats of a great tool.
  10. Oh I'm sorry I meant 9.97 each my bad I get them off ebay usually But you can buy the heads as well seperate
  11. Put your toothbrush in the garbage you will love this BTW I mention I have 2 what I mean is I have 2 I use for my tank only one will be stored until I need it. I keep a spare for the house cleaning sinks whatever lol this thing does magic
  12. Thank you I'm testing couple other things I just thought of but before I post I need to test more. Sharing ideas tips and tricks will help us all work in this hobby in a great easier way so its great to share ideas.
  13. For sure and anything we can do as a group to help the next guy in any way we can is a bonus I love ideas and also love to test things I have 2 of these at all times I have one not opened yet either. For 10 bucks I buy 2 of them and last me 2 years I just toss one of them after a year just because the brush wears down in time.. shortest time I tossed one was 7 months. But again I use every 3 to 5 days to touch up things takes me less than 5 minutes to zip through this 10 gallon tank.
  14. Nope I have used this for many years. there are a couple videos out there but I used way long than these videos coming out you can utube it. I showed a guy a few years ago about this and I think he made the fist utube using it. many people use it. Myself I think I switched to this when they first made the darn things. It is a big unit long and very durable and strong made you can drop it on the concrete don't do it but I have. I have had 0 issues with using this I clean off my valves some rocks and glass whatever and I do it every 4 days so I don't let it get to bad and I actually just did it as well before coming here So after I use this I wait a hour test everything and to be honest the RBTA opens up like the 4th of July . This unit is very very durable in the tank you don't have to scrub nothing it does it for you way better than a electric tooth brush. Even if you pull this out of your tank and want to use to clean things power heads whatever TOSS your tooth brush in the garbage this will have it brand new. I'm not getting paid for the free advertisement LOL But I'm just giving you my reviews and what I have used now its up to you all to use at your own caution.. I personally love this guy one of my favorite tools in all my tricks and tips personally
  15. Welcome to the board See you at the meeting later
  16. Your going to love that thing I have the 150 on my 100 gallon and have to keep it at 40% no dead spots in my tank. Took awhile to find the right place to put it but all good. It is nice to change up the wave patterns when I'm home as well otherwise I leave it on constant flow enjoy That's a great deal as well on that
  17. Ok 1 more new toy The red sea 350 comes with a auto top off system so i went out and got 1 more toy for back up. So now i will run this electronic Top off system and if this fails it will go to the float valve. Kind of like the Tunza so now i have back up as well. I think im done buying toys for the tank now its time to get frags and thats soon Everything is looking great running great,
