hmmm I'm not in Portland but I'm pretty sure I have a rock covered in nuclear palys that I've banished to a corner of my tank. I have a lot of palys that came on the live rock in my tank and I kind of segregated it to a corner. BUT i'm not in Portland. I really only make it to Salem. If you know of anyone that goes down that way and could grab them for you.

I commute to Salem regularly for work and have some coral you might be interested in. I could also ferry some coral for badxgillen.

I have twenty in my sump and they grow like weeds. They grow really well and fast when you allow their roots to fasten onto something. I transitioned them to regular tap once when I was swapping tanks. One of my friends brought them back from going home to hawaii where they harvest mangroves for beach cleanup.

That could probably work. There would be a debate for long term versus not long term. The LED i had over it just kind of crapped out. I was hoping to find something I could leave on there for an undetermined period of time. Thanks for the solid idea!

I don't feel like I need anything new or fancy for this 12 gaL tank. It's a nano the light broke over and I use it as a quarantine/ little fish tank. Currently I just have a regular light shining on it. All my "extra" lights are way too strong for this tank. Does anyone have a light for a nano tank? Just something so the fish aren't in utter darkness. I have ca$$sh ca$$h money money and roam often between Salem and Corvallis. I think 40 I thought it was less, price wise, u till he was already in the bag at the register. I suppose taking him back in wouldn't be the worst ever if they gave you twenty for him. I haven't had to take a fish back so I was assuming the price back would be less than 20.

I have a blue tang that will poop out these longish worms. I have tried soaking his food in prazi pro and it doesn't seem to do much. Most medications I have seen don't really advertise internal parasites. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to de worm a fish? I have been attempting to isolate the guy but haven't had much success as he is fast and paranoid now. I imagine the other fish in the same tank will have them by now as well. This has probably been going on for some time. So any solutions for the whole tank would be ideal. However, I have a very stocked reef tank and would like to avoid the destruction of life. I recently had the same experience with a wrasse. It started wrecking a maxima I have but I too bought a clam from Doug and it has left that one alone. My theory is that it's too large for the fish to register it as food right away. Either way I did the same clam cage with zip ties and egg crate. I have a pretty small blenny that is actually obsessed with the maxima (he regularly looks like he's protecting it or laying in it) and he couldn't get through. I hope things go well with your clam(s).

What size is your return pump? I'm in need of a new one.

That looks like a definite fish nibble to me. Blenny's are always active. I suggest building a little eggshell crate around the clam so it can repair itself. That way if it starts to heal you know it is definitely your fish (it most likely is) and you have the time to catch the little guy.

Fully grown. I can send you a video if you get texts as to how big he actually is (253-753-4552). I haven't measured him or anything my guess is 8 inches long and when his fins are all out maybe 7 inches tall.
