I don't have any idea of per lb how much live sand I have but I it's a mixture of smooth small sand, with some pink hue in it, and the medium grain aragonite sand. The new owner of my tank doesn't want the remaining live rock (very little) and the live sand from the tank. That being said if someone wants the sand for a project or what not I'd be willing to trade a coral or two for it. Or sell it to you for extremely cheap. $40 for the whole lot I'm not sure if that's an extreme amount (I don't think it is) but please notify me if it is. If it sits in my house for more than two days I'll be throwing it away. The clock starts 12/7/2015. It's the amount to cover the bottom of a 4ft x 2 ft tank about 1-1.5 inches deep. I really would like this to be gone. I know I stated $400 firm earlier but if anyone can get cash together then I am accepting offers, on the premise that it will be gone from my house in a relatively short period of time.

From doing work on one of my MP40's in the past from what I remember there are at least 4 wires. Opening the controller I think you'd have much better luck disconnecting the pin connector and dealing with that. If you have a hole large enough to fit a two pin connector end. Otherwise cutting the wires and fitting those through and soldering the connection together is a much better idea than cutting the chord itself.

Asking price $400, firm Pennisula style 110 gaL rimless tank. LxWxH Tank Dimensions: 48” x 30.25” x 18” Stand Dimensions: 48” x 30.30 x 41” Sump dimensions: 30.5” x 16” x 16” The glass is ¾” thick and comes with scratches from another user. So be knowledgeable that this isn’t in pristine condition. Comes with 4 chambered sump. I use it partially as a refugium and have been very pleased with the results. The return pump being used in the system is (I believe) a danner mag pump and was replaced within the year. So there is good amount of life left in the pump. The biggest deal with this tank is that while I was on vacation my fish watcher didn’t follow my instructions and did not change a filter sock. Resulting in water flooding over the filter sock into the base of the tank. The original owner, for whatever stupid reason, made the base out of particle board. Anyone that knows about particle board and water knows that it swells. So the base of the tank will need to be redone. I imagine plywood would work just fine and luckily how the tank was built all that is needed is to place the piece of lumber underneath. The sump doesn’t have a model number that I can see and was made by Platinum, professional filtration series. So says the label. I also have a reef octopus I was running with the system whose pump is faulty and needs to be replaced. That could probably come along with the tank if you’re up for replacing the pump. The overflow has a silencer that I believe is a modified stockman silencer. This tank was originally owned by an individual who had it plumbed for a closed loop system. Meaning there are a series of holes in the base glass of the tank that use bung hole fittings to seal the system. The stand has corresponding holes for the tank and has been made that if you wanted to change the direction of the tank on the stand, that you are able to do so. I currently am not using the system for closed loop anymore. I had it set up as a closed loop when I first set up the tank but had issues with how oversized the pump was that came with it. That being said I have all the flow fittings that attach to the different ports and filter attachments. If you were to set the system up as closed loop you would need is vinyl tubing. All ports for the closed loop system 4 return into the tank are fitted with ball valves. I really like the dimensions of this tank but downgraded to a smaller system. With that in mind I’ll also probably be throwing in numerous corals, live rock, and a lot of live sand. Considering the flaws mentioned above I think it’s a great tank. Please message me if you have any additional questions. I will be transferring the contents of the tank into my new tank that has been cycling now for over a month. I think $500 is a good starting price. The computer has the El Capitan OSX, 2.4 gHz Intel core 2 Duo, 4 GB memory, I have partitioned it to a 50/50 (2 GB each memory slot) with windows 7 operating on the windows side with all updated drivers. The computer has one cosmetic flaw where the metal frame is slightly indented. No functional damage. Works great and is super fast. I recently upgraded a 2012 macbook pro with a 1 TB HD and have been using this computer until that was complete. YAY! Just thought I would post on here as well since I'll probably get significantly less spam on here than when I'll be listing it on craigslist.

You can close this. I bought a new R.O. from marine depot, classic 152-S. It's working really well! It's going to be nice on the new tank I'm switching over to!

I've had this sucker in my pile of fish accoutrement and don't recall it being used. I'm listing it as $20 to have a price point set but will really take whatever at this point if it's a piece of equipment you can use. I'm not really sure why I have it....I've never had a skimmer that corresponds to this pump. Details are that it's an ASM G-500 Pump assembly (ZMQ03), G-15H skimmer/G2-5H. I think it's compatible with ASM G1 & G2 skimmers, I'm not an expert. I can ship it if anyones interested. I'd like to find it a home where it can be useful. As opposed to donating it or throwing it away. I've previously listed this pump on the forum some time ago and no one wanted it. So I'm giving the poor pump one last chance before it's given away. Six years is a little old for a skimmer pump to be considered reliable. Although I'm looking for used in still looking for something that is going to run a decent amount of time.

Mine is only a 93 gaL so that's a bit overkill. It's super nice though!

The pump on mine is leaking voltage into the tank. Big bummer. I'm not at home and will post the size pump of the pump and the system it's on. I know a skimmer just sold on here but if anyone has a reef octopus or similar quality skimmer that's not excessively old I'd love to see what you have! 253-753-4552

Yeah, the price point is totally out of control for the concept of a simple pump. I read somewhere that the pump was able to be programmed by the user, if they have the skill set to do so. I think a lot of the perks of the pump could be replaced by having an Apex, which I don't have. Such as detecting when you may have a leak with an extra sensor and blah blah blah.

If you want to send me a PM that would be great. I'm half looking for a temporary solution while I get the new system set up. You'd have to be able to ship and accept paypal as I'm down in the nether regions of Corvallis.

I haven't had the best experience with them un fortunately. But perhaps based on the price point it's time for me to consider trying them again. I have a sump pump but it's being used in the tank that I'm switching over from. So it's one of those get it set up and then harvest the best pump from the two systems.

(I'll probably not end up buying it) I'm in need of a sump pump for a new tank set up and I couldn't help but consider the Vectra. However, for the price I'm not sure if it's worth it and wanted to see what all you lovely people happen to think about it? I don't have a battery back, or a reef link, up but I do have an MP40 QD. Overall there isn't much benefit in the way of linking equipment. I did read that it has pretty cool controls that you can program yourself. Reef Octopus has their own model, Reef Octopus RODC Controllable Water Pump, and it seems less flashy but for half the price why not?

I think this is a great thread. At this point it looks like a debate between an individual who is willing to concede differences in thought and potentially be open to new *enlightening* information, should there be relevant facts to support that point. I would hate to see this degrade into a "he/she" said "he/she" said farcical where individuals are sticks in the mud. Which isn't to say that I'm arguing people should concede or adopt opinions only that it would be nice to see if those who oppose his view point were to at least try and understand the perspective Lexinverts is coming from. Real understanding comes from mutual respect and I hope that's happening here.
