1. I would be willing to for sure. My only issue is that I'm down in Corvallis.
2. Yeah, I'm going to be extremely cautious. Everything will be put into two rounds of QT and I'll have sacrificial testers to see whether it works or not. I won't be dosing my main tank (if at all) if things don't go absolutely perfectly.
3. Thanks All. I also spoke with an individual (Dale from Animal house in town who is very knowledgeable) who suggested that there are multiple sources pointing to dog wormer to kill hydroids? I have an extra QT tank sitting around and thought taking a piece of rock out and a sacrificial coral might be a fun experiment.
4. I have an extra remora skimmer. The pump is brand new. Might work out nice for you. I use a remora on my 29 bio cube. This one came from my boyfriends tank he ended up dismantling.
5. Here are some photos to show how bad my pests are: ">http:// ">http:// ">http:// ">http://http://s1158.photobucket.com/user/beasileybub/media/Mobile%20Uploads/74BA4446-CF5A-4201-A398-7B8FE42C4D1F_zpsaifdpwfk.jpg.html'>
6. I've been creating a list the whole time I've had a tank of how much I spend on equipment and livestock. I have a 100 gallon. But I think it's a nice reality check. It's crazy how it adds up over time!
7. I believe I have one guy in there. But it's infested with more than just a few of the majanos. Like 50 ish of them in one location. it's somewhat isolated right now but they are "nested" on a large colony of frogspawn bases.
8. Yeah, being down south is a big drag. I'll maybe give them a call. I also have a lot of majano anemones in my tank as well. My beautiful tank is being over run!
9. I have a blue tang, sailfin tang (I've been trying to catch him), 2 clownfish, and a marine beta. I used to have a seahare with all the same fish. All of the fish have left crabs and shrimp alone. I do have anemones that I could move out the tank. That's how my seahare died.
10. Totally a long shot. But while I was away I had a giant bloom in tank demons. Specifically glass anemones, aptasia, and hydroids (this one is a bit unusual). Long story short my tank babysitter allowed the salinity to spike and was over feeding the tank. Anywhos my filefish committed suicide in my MP40 while I was away. Does anyone have one I could buy or trade from them. Or have any suggestions for my serious increase in pests? It's a reef tank so it's pretty delicate.
11. This may be a horribly stupid question but are they completely exclusive to sympodium or do you believe they eat other polyps?
12. Any low ball offers are being accepted. Otherwise this little guy is getting donated and or thrown away.
13. HA you are right. It's probably an 8. I bought the tank and never bothered to actually calculate the size. Shows how little I have invested in this tank. Thanks for catching that oopsie!
14. I suppose so. I'd like to just get rid of it all. I think it's discounted enough that you could just throw or give the equipment away. What were you considering?
15. It would be perfect for a little project if someone wanted to make it really schwanky! I just never invested the time in the little guy.
16. I have had this tank for a good two years and it was an already established tank for five years before that. Super low maintenance tank. Can come with more live rock if you'd prefer and a brittle sea star or two for that matter! Size: 14 gaL http:// Equipment: Hydor heater koralia power head - nano circulation powerhead 240 gph two little fishes cleaning magnet Eheim adjustable flow filter, comes with about 20+ filter replacements. The guy I bought it from went to town on filter replacements. Reducing the amount of crap in my house. Need gone. (8/17) I'll upload dimensions when I am around later this evening.
17. No immediate plans, no. I was just up there this last weekend.... unfortunately
18. Seriously, I will take any offers. I just don't have space for these guys.
19. Both are big mamba jambas and probably a good 7" in diameter. One is quite elusive and lives inside a large live rock. I've yet to confirm that he comes out of the rock as I just became aware of his existence. That being said it looks like you will be purchasing a large live rock that happens to come with a very large brittle sea star. I'll update the photo with the rock. My guess is that it's 5+ lbs easy (the rock). $15 for that dude & the large rock. The one I have been able to take a photo of is a large green brittle sea star. It is regularly out in the open and doesn't appear to have murdered any small fish or other crustaceans. $10. Both of these doods came out of a friends tank. I accidentally omitted them when I sold all the fish that were in the tank recently. Both are currently in my quarantine tank. http://
